Accredited Food Allergy Course Level 2 (MODULE 5)

This module will outline the requirements for voluntary labelling, which apply to both prepacked and non-prepacked food.
Any voluntary food information that is provided must fulfil the requirements of Chapter V (‘Voluntary food information’) Article 36 of EU Food Information to Consumers Regulation No 1169/2011 (EU FIC).

Module objectives

After working through this module, you will be able to:

Understand the differences and specific requirements for different voluntary labelling statements

Explain why Food Business Operators (FBOs) might wish to use voluntary labelling and when it is suitable to do so.
