The chirping is driving me nuts 😂

True Story. Grandparents n 1970’s were at Church and said they were Tired. Cricket Woke them Night before and couldn’t locate it. Great Laugh after Church. 🙏

It happens sometimes. At least it's running now. Hilarious how they were going to use that little bitty filter. The filters on small window units are bigger than that. I find it amazing how they leave these units wide open. Nice work. I'm glad that lump on your best friend was benign. Have a good one.

Whoever did this install has no business doing another one wow🤔🤔🤔

Chirping detector sends my dog into panic mode. Give it the Ted Cook Nest Test. 😂

Great job placing the upgraded,larger air filter. It will run much better now.

Just gotta ask....did you ever find the Breaker Panel. The barking dogs on some of your videos don't bother me like they do others. But those chirping Smoke Detectors are really annoying. 😂

Those Darn Crickets were Excruciating for 26 minutes. 😬👍

Good job enlarging the return. Not sure if you realized it but that is what caused your blower motor to stop working. There wasn't enough airflow when the air handler was closed up and trying to pull through that small return. Then when you pulled the 24v you reset the system. It came on and ran fine,before you enlarged the return, because it was pulling air through the big hole where i believe a door goes.

Bro that would be a limit, and that would be during heating season, not ac season 🤦🤦 if it was lacking return airflow during ac, you'd have a froze up coil.

Not with that unit...if the blower isn't pulling or pushing enough air(high static pressure) the blower stops working to keep blower from going bad. Also unit will go out on flash code, which we see happen, that has to be manually reset.

I’m currently installing a 7.5 ton at colony bank. In the attic.. 😩

I am less than impressed with that air handler and condenser, as well as how it is installed new. Interesting video diagnosing the problem. You did right changing the intake grill. I’m afraid I would have taken a hammer to that smoke detector if I was the tech on site.

That counterflow furnace coil is installed ass backwards.

Nice job, Curtis! Sometimes, you can't explain weird problems with controls.

That downflow configuration is wrong Curtis . You’ve got or the installers have the coil over the heat strips. This could cause trouble if that coil freezes.👍🇨🇦

Like just about every other device with any kind of computer if all else fails, reboot it. I'd say that's what happened when you broke the low voltage. I do computers for a living and have worked on some chip level computer equipment and I have to tell my end users, first restart the thing and see what happens. Weird stuff happens and it can't hurt. Thanks for all your videos.

Agree, not just reboot, shut it down, unplug, and let it come back up

I hate when people don’t put a Downflow AH on a box. They should have at least built an 8” curb box, makes servicing them so much easier

Furnace box is a must on any df plus gives u enough room to install a small bypass humidi

Mr curtis, i was sent out by my company one time in fall time to a no heating call it was a brand new lennox units long story short lennox board requires you to cut off jumper on the computer looking board so it can go into heat..on the regular air handlers you pull the white jumpers off but on that unit you needed to cut off the circuit board .i did it with nail clippers cause it was easier lol

I have put in quite a few of these furnaces #1 problem loose plugs on the board and loose red wire going in the plug

That board was on strike because of the smoke detector, 😂😂😂

Did you notice the water droplet stains on the plate separating the blower and control compartment. Makes me think that unit was underwater or condensation.

Good work Curtis.. Us techs always have to wear more then one hat on any given day.

Get a signal wire tracer. Easy to find the main panel. I use mine for buried cable, broken wires in attic too.

U may be back had nortech board # that would do what that on is doing drop out pull off red wire board would reset and after wile would drop out again those boards have problems

Heat pumps suck do they. North texas. People say they don't last as long as air conditioner

Sawzall or chainsaw, either one will get the job done, Mr. Curtis! 😂 That’s all that matters.

@@HVACGUY Curious, because the install looks really "after market", but seeing the other QC issues in that home I can't be sure it didn't ship that way from the manufacturer. Either way it's big puddle o' poop.

Is it me, or do I see water stains on the metal near the blower? Maybe water from the evaporator coil getting to the board and electrical. Down flow units can be problematic.
