This video was over two hours long…so to shorten it I had to cut a lot of things out. Update:👉👉 the customer decided to not fix the RTU that had a bad blower motor but did authorize me to return and install a low pressure cut out switch for the gas. I chose a adjustable switch with a manual reset. This way if the pressure switch trips they’ll lose heat and they’ll know that they’re having issues with the gas. I also recommended that they have their gas supplier inspect all the regulators, I later found out that that first regulator at the tank was not a liquid to vapor which at the time I wasn’t 100% sure because I knew that they could’ve taken it to the bottom of the tank with the tube. Either way hope you guys enjoy the video. 👉make sure to hit like if you would please.

Glad to see someone thinks the same of York/Luxaire and Goodman as I do lol, Also that is vapor withdraw tank for sure, that's just the first stage regulator to go from tank pressure to 10psi, Vaporizers are either electric or gas fired and actually heat the liquid to boil it than send it down the pipe, they work very similarly to a Unitrol on a conventional water heater. They're common up here in Northern Ontario remote mines that have huge fuel consumption demands and the tank cant boil fast enough to provide enough vapor

Comes in handy elsewhere also. 1/8 Male x Female NPT valves are also useful if checking between multiple ports at the same time with a single device.

Those Luxair/York/JCI units are total ass. Changing the HX is a two person job and the better part of 4 hrs to do. You have to dismantle the collector box to get to some hidden screws and then the two through the blower housing and some in the condenser section. Edit, forgot to mention, overfired and low airflow killed the last one we changed out, belt was worn to half its original width and filters hadn't been changed in 3 years. Your analyzer is made by Sauerman btw.

Before I would say that that’s a bad blower motor, I would want to double check that all three phase legs are connected to that motor. It is very likely that you have a bad contactor. I have about five bad contactors producing that same result for every one time I have an actual bad blower motor. When that unit fires off…..and I have to assume that they have the correct valve modification in place for use with LP gas…. I would want to monitor the manifold pressure when everything that uses LP in that building is running. I’m guessing that that’s a very long pipe run, and it’s a long pipe run with a small diameter pipe and a low feed pressure. So, that’s my tip for you after 60 years of mechanical work.

From what I was told he did the full conversion. There was no stickers to tell me what the orifice size are manifold pressure should be. He told me it was supposed to be 9 1/2 inches water column so that’s what I said that.

if the burners have adjustable air bands, they likely need adjusted for the propane conversion, while that's sure not helping. looks like you found the main issue, those goofy stacks and running out of propane or other propane piping issue. it for sure needs low pressure switches added.

That is some garbage but I'd derate the burner orfices. If you can find the plugs you redrill them right into the existing burner orfices. Not sure what your altitude is but in Colorado I had to do this in the past. It probably wouldn't hurt as I bet with that cheesy ductwork your temperature rise is probably high anyway. Just a thought. I have a orfice drilling bit kit with several sizes. I don't even know if they even sell this anymore as I never see them at suppliers selling this stuff. This trade really sucks, most would have said phuck it get a new unit. Ha, cheers to you and your efforts. I picked up my drill bits and plugs at CD Jones several years ago and haven't had to do any modifications in several years now. But it definitely fixed my problems with burning dirty! I had 500 plus ppm CO and after modifications 15 to 50 ppm!

According to the technician that was out there prior to me that did the conversion he replaced all the orifices with an LP kit. Surprisingly it’s been two months since I was out there and I haven’t heard of them calling in yet. When I went back to install the low gas pressure switch, I blew it out again this time with nitrogen and got the last bit of junk out and I open the air up more.
