I´m hooked up to a big GT on a jig when 2 Whales swam past and snagged my line and absolutely toasted the drag washers from my brand new Saltiga 14.000, ripping hundreds of meters of line off the reel.

That's insane! That second whale grabbed it or the 1st dropped it and picked it back up. When I saw that tail go down I figured by the title he was about to get dumped. Came so close!

Daiwa sent me new drag washers, but I just don’t know how to open the spool yet. It’s a bit different to the old models. I will figure it out. It’s still kicking arse with the whale washers, but who knows for how long.

No line at all on the whale! It just swam through my line and the line got caught on the fin and once it busted the whale was free again.

It wasnt intentional guys the whale got in the way and no harm was done so shut up!
Should have clipped the line much before. Now an extra 100 yard line is floating around
Well no, actually, you hooked the whale. You weren't aware they were there we hope. because of course it would snag the line if the line wasn't reeled in fast enough. Run the line through your armpit full force and see if it hurts. Now apply that to the whale.
