City Folk is such a good game! I still play it every week!

Whenever I see these older games they feel so much more relaxing than NH NH’s ost is so out of place to me it’s like way too upbeat I think

I have a funny story to tell about city folk, though it will probably be lost in the comments and not many will actually read it I will tell it! Along time ago I was very little and LOVED animal crossing city folk, though my parents had done almost everything but I still enjoyed it very much. I got attached to 2 villagers named Nibbles and Roscoe . After time I had nothing to do so I came back every year just so I could see them. Also back then I looked up “Animal Crossing City Folk” and not really anything came up, since it’s the least played games and I was pretty sad. If I just searched Animal crossing I would of learned that there are Other games. when new horizons came out I learned about the other games and I did everything in my power to learn about them because I loved the series so much before. I still do and now that new horizons is out I have played 2 games. I think Roscoe and nibbles were the first villagers I ever had attachments too fictional characters. So I’m very thankful to animal crossing for good memories and good experiences!

Also this video brought up some interesting things I forgot about that aren’t in NH Namely animals gossiping! I feel like in NH they ask you to run a present to someone but that’s pretty much it. Another interesting thing was asking you to grab a particular type of furniture

It's kinda annoying for the villagers to suddenly ping at you as you enter a building or go to a different area and suddenly forget once you go back. I can't help but laugh when the batteries died as you were catching a mole cricket xD good to know you caught one later. Looking forward to your next video, Jeff!

Aww, I loved the video started because Goldie knew that Jeff was going to remove the fleas and she was standing and being patient, wish all the dog villagers were the same. Also when Portia mentioned the Wii news channel, it gave me a nostalgic feel and a flashback when I couldn’t connect to the internet and I was extremely angry lol because I wanted to watch the news. Also the Retro TV is a good purchase as it would match with Portia’s house whereas a Robo TV would be too complicated to use. I believe that Kapp’n was driving the bus and I think that he nearly ran over Bones because he might have thought there were dog bones. Also Kitty left because you might be unaware but your fortune from Katrina could be that a kangaroo who looked like a clown had to save you from Kitty lol. Anyway’s amazing video Jeff, it made me laugh. :)

Wow. Astrid actually dethroned the "Hello, Kitty" infestation you have been dealing with for so long. It makes me feel kinda proud that I have Astrid in my City Folk town. lol

I remember the Wii News Channel, I just never used it. Following the fight between Kitty and Astrid, Kitty is moving after nearly four years, and there was much rejoicing! KK is so hungry because he can't survive on just the coffee that Brewster pays him with. Villagers always seem to give random bell amounts as rewards, almost always 552 bells. Portia gave you 20 less than what you deserved. I have had batteries die at even worse timing. Great puns.

City folk moments are my favorite!

It's always so nice to see when you upload prior Animal Crossing games to the channel :) I've recently gotten back into it and I have to say that City Folk is definitely a big favorite alongside New Horizons which I only recently got this Christmas! It's a shame I missed out on City Folk originally back then when playing through Wild World and jumping straight to New Leaf afterwards. (I never played Animal Crossing on GameCube since I was about 3 when it came out!)

So glad you're still playing City Folk/LGTTC, Jeff! Love your channel and I always have. Believe it or not, I kind of grew up with your channel. I discovered it in 2011, maybe earlier.

I wish i knew about this and all previous ac games when i was kid :< looks amazing!

I think it's time for a little story. Portia has been one of my favorite Dog villagers ever since she took Frobert's place when he moved out. I also had Portia in New Leaf in which I think she's still there. Although, good villagers don't last forever. Portia moved out of my City Folk town, and that really hurt me. What hurt even more was that Alli took her place. When I got New Horizons, I set up the campsite, and when I went to go greet whoever was at the campsite, I was freaking out because Portia was there. I managed to convince her to move in, and she's been in my New Horizons island ever since. To this day, Portia will forever be my favorite villager ❤️

I'm so tempted to restart my City Folk game...it's been years since I played properly....but then I think about all my progress and kinda go ehhhh...? 😅

Hello Jeff, I have some questions for you! 1-How did you get so many golden flowers in this town? 2-Any advice for grinding bells? 3-How do you handle with the menus that requires pointing to the screen? I mean, I like to play laying on the bed, and that's annoying for me

1. I lined my paths with red roses to breed black roses, then later turned them gold with the golden can. It took me a few years to get that many, though. 2. Bug hunting on summer nights. I've earned as much as 250k in an hour (although ~150k is probably more typical). If playing late, I recommend switching to Nook 'n' Go for the summer so you can sell your catches right away. 3. I guess I'm just used to it, it doesn't really bother me much.

Yeah, I didn't like her. Mainly because she stuck around for years, when some other villagers I like left too soon.

Still have the game still plays the game.

Yes. Fortunately, City Folk does not have the friend requirement that was in the first two games.

Ugh, I don't know. I'd probably scream, and maybe take a break before I started at least some of them over. And I'm sure it's inevitable that some of my towns will get corrupted or lost somehow. But at least it would never happen to all of them at the same time.

Yeah, I'd probably scream too. But I'd sell all my of my Animal Crossing games, and definitely lose my interest in AC.

How do I get the bridge in city folk? I know for a fact that I’ve donated 200,000 bells by now, but nothing is happening. I traveled forward one day, and then another day with no results. I’ve checked with Pelly and the board. I went back in time 2 days to the real date, so please say time traveling doesn’t effect it

The day after the donation goal has been met, you should ask about the town fund again. Pelly or Phyllis should let you vote on a location for the bridge. I'm not sure if/how time traveling affects it. But if you're not getting the vote prompt, I'd recommend waiting until the next day (without time traveling) and ask again.

Yes, I still play all 5 of the main Animal Crossing games. New Horizons is the only one I'm playing daily, but I play most of the others at least once a week.
