Access Control Barrier Obstructing Tactile Paving Pedestrian Crossing For The Visually Impaired 😨🎥🛸
Today we are joined by @PJAudits as we take a look at Mastercard / Access Prepaid Worldwide, Cygnet Rd, Hampton, Peterborough PE7 8HP.
We have a chat with security upon arrival who then goes to check about the drone.
We then find a safety matter which needs to be reported before someone is injured so we walk up to reception when we are met with "please leave"
We try out best to get the important message heard.

I don't know about the UK but in the US the barrier blocking the footpath would be a violation of ADA (American Disabilities Act) laws. The security man and lady was very professional at first but indifferent to your input. Nice, not so nice! Oh the steal cold heart of the corporate world. Scary.
I doubt that barrier being where it is would stop any self-respecting traveller from getting on the site in any case!
@zigzagtoes

It wouldn't, I've seen them a few times gain access through all sorts of obstructions within minutes. The funniest is, all these businesses with standard gates you see everywhere, locked with just a heavy duty lock through the bolt bar, aren't at all secure for more than a few minutes. No tools required, only as few as half a dozen men, will break that lock just by simply using leverage, 3 or 4 men either side of the gate rocking back n forth, will snap majority of locks - I've witnessed it many times.
@royboy6890

It wouldn't. Our factory grounds got done numerous times even with heavy duty gates, protected lock housings, 1 ton blocks across the access road and even a truck as a barrier. They carry a battery angle grinder to get the gates open within seconds and chains to drag any obstruction out of the way.

They have a legal obligation for the safety of staff and visitors to the site and anyone walking by under Health & Safety Act 1974 and are liable if an accident happen and DJ & PJ are correct in informing them about his concern and the receptionist could be held personally responsible for not informing the company about the hazard.
That young lass in the car was so embarrassed by the drivers responses , he too had no respect , not only for the blind but also for the partially blind / short sighted / glasses wearing public , and the massive trip hazard of not only the barrier stanchion but also the very heavy and thick rusting base plate that comes well out at floor/ground level and well before any blind stick could tap it or feel the real thickness of it , imagine tripping on that plate and falling onto that heavy steel stanchion, SO , WELL DONE YOU 2 FOR HIGHLIGHTING IT !! , RECEPTION /& /SECURITY SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO IGNORE THIS HAZARD , (even after being told of the danger ) AND THEN CHOOSING TO POSSIBLY IGNOR THEIR OR VARIOUS OTHER VISITORS OR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC COMING THAT WAY/ AND HAVING TO COMBAT SOMETHING THAT THEY PLACED THERE IS TOTALLY IRRESPONSIBLE .
