Apparently, this song ministers to a lot of people who can relate to the common plight of hopelessness in depending upon ourselves, and of the inexpressible elation that comes from surrendering your heart to the God of love, who only wants to lavish his affections upon us. No matter what your situation is, God's unfailing love is standing by and anxious to provide relief to your weary heart. Thank God!"

Hello my peer. I was between 6-9 when I knew these songs - my older cousin used to play the cassette often. If I'm not mistaken, it was either this/last year I watched their video for the first time on KZread. Thank you for the blessings in the songs! 🙏🏽

My father played their album when I was a kid. I never knew the artist nor the name of the album but this precious song always stayed with me. I finally discovered all of these beautiful classics earlier this year. Now an adult, I really praise God for this music. All honor and glory to our sweet Jesus Christ, for inspiring the beautiful vocals that are, "The Acapella Company". Whew! ^_^ God is so good! Oh blessed heart. He's always come to my Rescue.

Most of their songs have me teary!
When I was a teenager me and my friends performed this song for our church and at bible camp talent show. It has always had a profound meaning for me and touches my soul so much when I hear or sing it, I always seem to cry tears of joy!
I saturated my mind and heart with this song when I first became a Christian and it is still so soothing to my soul

@simba mcnorris hakata I thought I was alone. Wow! I thank God we had the same experience, except that I got all my albums at once and that was the only music I listened to growing up and I came out right and quite disciplined. May God continue to reveal Himself to you through these songs

Yes, I would definetly agree with the producers (note) about this song's popularity & speaking to those "who can relate to the common plight of hopelessness"... That, and oh- the fact that Wayburn Dean absolutely CRUSHES it- to the likes of which no mortal man could even attempt to duplicate. Please give credit where it is due. HE makes it the song it is- but much props for writing it.. (AND for giving us this new version) Outstanding!

George is the most soulful and dynamic lead singer of time. I looooooove his singing style.
This is one of the best songs ever sang & that's why it never grows old, not to mention Dean's voice 🔥❤️
I remember hearing this song at 8 years old and believed 100 of the words. Now at 39, I always go back to this song and my soul is at ease when listening
I fell in love with this song years ago. Now I am in love with the passion for the Lord conveyed in this video. Praise God for the way you continue to use your talent to honor the Almighty!

I bought the cassette tape way back in the day when it first came out (and which I've still got) and this is the title song, sung by Wayburn Dean. I've never heard it sung by George.

I love these guys. There have been many inceptions of Acappella but that is Keith Lancaster on the left. The man who started Acappella. And what can you say about Mr. Wayburn Dean that he isn't showing right now? GIFTED! I have the album they originally recorded this song on and it's amazing. Incredible how the holy spirit has been moving in yhe last few weeks. Intense struggles and some of the hardest decisions of my life but im trusting God to lead me. I've fallen so far away but in the last week God put this music from my childhood back in my heart.
I was straight heartbroken as kid when Wayburn left Acappella. Glad to see he's back and crushing just as hard as ever

I have this album. Rescue is one of my favorite songs by Acappella. I grew up at Scharbauer St. COC with Wayburn singing in the choir. What a blessing to have been raised by Christian parents and surrounded by my Christian church family. I am who I am today for this strong, solid foundation. I recently shared this song with my student's, and they absolutely loved it!!! Keep doing what you are doing, keep singing for the Lord, keep spreading his word, and God Bless you all Acappella!
