This is 2 minutes from my town we had a tornado yesterday I heard the model 7 thunderbolt and allertor

this siren in attack is me when i see a wasp nest. on a serious note, i think i know where their nest was/is, if you look at 1:32 and pause you can see a small hole in the top horn that all the wasps crowd around, there is no matching hole on the other side, so i can assume thats the entry point of the nest great video, infact one of the best videos you have, and definitely the best allertor video ive seen in a long time

That's a lot of flies... ugh... Makes sense that there would be lots of them, since they are attracted to the color yellow!

I live in Ridgedale Missouri and I hear all 3 of them during tornado warnings and test’s, sounds so good from a distance, I hear the T-bolt the most though.

Man, I love that drone shot!

This exact model used to terrify me as a kid. We had one on the end of my street and when they tested it I freaked. Love it now though. My 2 and 4 year olds are obsessed with them.

Its nice to see that the city intends on keeping their allertors. Now it can last another 40 years to come.

This siren is actually a refurbished, ex-DC siren and a more recent installation. To my knowledge Blue Eye didn't have sirens prior to these.

This is probably the first gen 2 allertor I’ve seen with a screen

Must have a wasp nest on the top horn.

I need an allertor, no matter if it looks like a toilet, it's an allertor for me. WSS has 2 Allertors if they are still there, may just pick up some of ACA's sirens and an old 2001 and maybe a thunderbolt, just a few trips.

Allertors are no longer made. You might find one second hand from another enthusiast or some random town selling their old sirens. But be prepared to spend a few hundred.

It actually comes out through both because you know how theres that big donut shape thing holding the bottom horn? Its actually surrounding the stator and comes through both its not sucking air because if it was then it would be much quieter

Also the chopper is fine too

I use several Zoom H1 recorders scattered about and a Sony XY-ST1M mounted on my camera. I mix all these audio sources together, including the native sound from any cameras I have rolling.

no it's not, unless the wasps count. It's just a little bit underpowered. Table rock offered to fix it, but the city was happy with it as it was. So they left it.
