My OG AC was based on the Tsugumori but just sharing that without making a real effort to actually look like what I ripped the name from would feel a little self serving, so I made a proper cosplay from scratch. There's very little weathering on this one, and I was mostly experimenting with techniques to add extra "painted on" details like the recessed bolts and head details to try and replicate the actual Tsugumori's head. A lot of the decal budget was chewed up from just painting individual parts, like the knee joints and shoulders. Would you consider doing a series of step by step videos, from start to finish on painting and decals?! I’ve looked everywhere and nobody does them! And also, your mechs are hands down some of the best I’ve seen!

Excellent work! That Toha Heavy Industries logo is really on point! I used this as a reference for my own weathered paint job. I actually based my own AC design on something as welI, and used a mostly white paint scheme with a few stripes and personal decals. Personally, I love minimalist color schemes in mecha, the clean and well-maintained look comes off as somewhat intimidating IMO. It gives the impression that the mech is some kind of new cutting-edge technology that may do something mysterious and scary. Kinda like the mass-production EVAs in Evangelion. And just the right amount of weathering really gives the design personality.

Cool to see more Nihei stuff - I made a bunch of Nihei emblems first day it came out! There's a surprising number of AC fans are also Nihei fans! Great work, nice video editing, really dig the detailed emblems too Hoping to see more like this in the future! ^^

Sidonia, but I'd see it as less of a mech action game and more like some sort of ship management strategy sim.
