well clearly hes a drummer what he meant by not knowing much about music is he doesnt play melody instruments. this mans home studio says he knows alot about music. english just isnt his first language so he doesnt have the greatest vocabulary for explaining stuff like that.

There is a different between percussionist and drummer. Usually drummer focus on drums only, and percussionist practice on all kinds of percussion instruments, including mallet ones.

1) They are stupidly easy and cheap to make (Made one as a kid in the 90's wit hscrap PVC pipe) 2) There are tons of plans for the exact measurements online for pitch and tone now days. 3) Despite his claims of "Not knowing much about music" he plays percussion instruments which are the backbone of music.

Building a tubulum is one of the greatest lessons in tempered tunings any musician could possibly hope for. Sounds good in C, G, and F.

Simply brilliant, sounds great, and the fact that you built it all yourself...hats off to you!

This guy is a Master at his craft. Being almost deaf I've had a unique perception of music and sounds, I've always loved music despite my hearing. But with that being said I had a wild dream El was teaching me drums while making a youtube series out of it haha was bad ass!

That's freaking awesome, I grew up in the 80's and have seen acdc several times. I will have to admit this sounds even better..

Such an amazing and talented drummer.

this was fantastic. one the next one, could you split the screens with the different parts you're overlaying. I love the transitions between the shots, but I think it would be cool to have windows with each of the cuts going at the same time as well. As long as we're being picky about definitions, the tubulum is a different instrument. More like a PVC bass, played by hitting the tubes with sticks.

It helps a lot that he has the accuracy and speed with this new instrument, but being a drummer doesn't make you able to play an instrument like this. Apart from tuning a drum head and hitting with different amounts of power, there aren't many deviations in notes and pitch on an acoustic drum set. This one has more notes than I can count at a glance, and he played a pretty complicated song with many different notes.

It’s so crazy, this guy change so much in my life, I played drums 5 years as a young boy, made a 7 year break, and El took me back to the kit and now I’m building a drum shelter in my yard after practicing singles and doubles on the pad for 2 month ( I’m not a beginner tho, had a rock band back that days as a boy). It would probably fit well in a resampling audio engine like the SNES has, it basically plays a couple or few samples at different speeds to cover the whole scale
