And to have fun and make you laugh as well as being an absolutely brilliant musician is the cherry on top of the cake. But the entire band is brilliant and so tight, it makes me want to listen to them at least once each day. Almost forgot - the velvet schoolboy outfit is so weird but yet so fitting. I'm a 56 year-old black man that was raised on rhythm and blues and the best soul artists the world has ever seen. I heard my first White musicians when I was 12 on an a.m. football helmet radio after my parents got a divorce. The songs were Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce, Play That Funky Music White Boy by Wild Cherry, and Magic Man by Heart. They moved my soul 10 times more than James Brown ever did! But at 16 when I got the Back in Black Album and the diary of the madman by Ozzy, it was then that I knew just how energetic and special AC DC was and would forever be. Many years later Stephen King would hear them for the first time and immediately he said he wanted them to do the entire soundtrack for his movie Maximum Overdrive.

I would always dress up as Angus as a kid. Hell, I was even him halloween of 2007. I did all the moves Angus did. And all the neighbors thought I was the cool kid of the block/town. Now I'm 24 (at the time I'm writing this comment), and I now have my very own SG guitar, I inherited a chunk of my uncle's vinyl records; mostly rock and heavy metal albums including AC/DC, and I might dress up as my idol again for this year (2024). Long live AC/DC! 🤟😈🎸

@1978 rm 50 fun agreed. Well, idk, that no one can ever duplicate their energy and character part…that may be going a little extreme. However, considering their age is what makes them so impressive to me. Shit, I mean Brian’s probably about there. The Youngs are probably not too far behind and they still move like they’re in their fucking twenties. That’s incredible. It’s their longevity that I find so impressive. There are many bands that come close, but none that put on this kind of a show at that age. So ultimately, I think you’re right.
@Whitebreadonly
Жыл бұрын
@Wraith Ranger From Beyond I don’t think he made a bullshit statement at all. Sure, there are many other bands that do great concerts and genuinely try (tried for those who either broke up or disbanded due to the death of a key member or members) to give fans their money’s worth. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Guns n Roses, The Eagles, Def Leopard, Bon Jovi, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Foreigner, Journey, etc. You could name tons of great bands, but how many of them put on that kind of show routinely at that age? Brian Johnson is 75 now, which would have made him about 61 (14 years ago if I remember the year cited in the title correctly) in that video. I believe Angus Young is 67 now, which would have made him about 53 there. Whether or not other bands are “on their level” in terms of raw energy is subject to individual opinion. It’s highly debatable. I don’t think anyone else is simply due to the age factor. The only other band that could hold a candle to ACDC, as far as I’m concerned, would be the Stones, again, due to the age factor. That shit gets harder and harder to do, the older you get. That’s just my opinion though. Like Patrick Swayze said, OPINIONS VARY.
@Whitebreadonly
Жыл бұрын
@Wraith Ranger From Beyond my bad. Wrong video. I was looking at a another video of a 2009 concert they did. Anyway, it still had Angus running around with his guitar like he was 20, no difference here from this one. They bring it regardless.

Nobody today is making tones like Angus did. It may not sound all that sophisticated but there is so much heart and soul in every single note that he plays, each one is just dripping with Gibson/Marshall gooodness. Most of yall don't know what it's like to be in a room with a guitar and an amp making sounds like that. It vibrates your soul. To the core. Lots of guys did it back in the day - Angus was one of the best. Not too many people doing it now. Definitely not like this.
It's a pleasure

Buy a gretsch and a marshall stack. Clean and loud with thick strings gauge. Now you only need to hammer some chords with the power that is only gain after decades of Rock n Roll

I like his reaction when Angus is stripping in front of him. I can't imagine Phil laughing like that.
Bless you Malcolm. You were the core. There is no band without you.
Wanna know my experience seeing Malcolm Young in the heat of passion...I had binoculars and on the opening night of the Ball breaker tour, Malcolm broke his low E string halfway through the first song 😃
Chris Slade really killed this. They actually all did. Wonderful. I love Angus' solo right to the end. Rock n Roll brilliance. No other band to touch them 🎸💕❤️🎶🎸🔥
3:07 .. I have absolutely no idea how you get a guitar to sound as good as that. RIP Malcom Young! Rest in Peace Malcom. You'll be dearly missed. Rest in Peace Malcom. You'll be dearly missed.

My favorite part is Malcolm guitar entering at 6:11, so simple and pure.
The only thing that ever changed for this band was the stages got bigger, and so did the crowds. Gotta love that.

Imagine what they got paid for this concert alone.
How do I spell "unselfish" Malcolm Young. He is the one that came up with most of the great riffs of the songs, and give his little Brother all the glory. He could play a guitar just as good as Angus. But he played rhythm for his band.
