AC/DC - Girls Got Rhythm (1979) • TopPop
Музыка
Power Up (sometimes shortened as PWR/UP and stylised as PWRϟUP) is the seventeenth studio album by Australian rock band AC/DC released in Australia and the sixteenth to be released internationally. Released on 13 November 2020, Power Up marks the return of vocalist Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams, all of whom left AC/DC before, during, or after the supporting tour for their previous album Rock or Bust (2014). This is also the band's first album since the death of co-founder and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young in 2017 and serves as a tribute to him, according to his brother Angus.
To celebrate this we highlight AC/DC's only performance on Toppop with 'Girls Got Rhythm'.
AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Although their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and heavy metal, the band themselves call it simply "rock and roll".
inIn this legendary Toppop performance from 1979 you can see the band in the line-up with Malcolm and Angus Young, singer Bon Scott, drummer Phil Rudd, and bassist Cliff Williams, who has appeared on every AC/DC album since 1978's Powerage.
In February 1980, Bon Scott died of acute alcohol poisoning after a night of heavy drinking.

These five guys, while they were still alive and/or still with the group, are one of the top five bands in the history of mankind. Period. Full stop.

There was more than five of them. The drummer and bass player changed a few times in the early days. Mark Evans was Bass player on the first 4 albums which IMO were the best. The lineup in this video (with Rudd on drums and Williams on bass) only did 2 albums together before Bon Scott died
A simple music video. No fancy sht. Just music and AC/DC that's IT.

Legendary Bon Scott! 🔥⭐
Sad part.... this is not long before we lost a legend. And THE greatest front man EVER
One of ACDCs best songs!!
The best line up of AC/DC!
The one band I regrettably didn't get to see in concert but I got their music on my Playlist ❤
Not flashy...just badass.
Simply the best rock band of all time.

Bon Scott is the gold standard for band frontman, so sad he passed so soon!
What can I say? Simply said; They are the Most Awesome Band of All Time. Full Throttle Rock! Can You imagine what a Bad Day it was To be an Band that had to Follow Ac/DC onto a Stage for a Live Performance? Back in the 70's They were the optimum Rock Band.

I agree. I saw them in 1975, in Sydney. They literally lifted the roof off the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney. Never seen a video of them that captured it.
AC ⚡ DC
Best band ever😊
Angus always has the energy
when the 70's are good, they are great, this is the opposite of pop-rock trash, this is the real deal.
Everything about this performance is literally perfect. One of those rare rock moments when the stars aligned.

It’s PLAYBACK! Why cannot people understand that. One needs to be completely talentless to not hear and see that it’s playback. The guitars aren’t even plugged in!
Bon Scott is the Godfather of classic rock @ roll
Rip Bon🙏❤️ Great tunes, reminds me of high school! Dirty deeds done dirt cheap had just been released, even mom was like..."oooh I like this one"!! 🤣💯
They are my favourite musicians of all time, and to this day I still can’t believe a short fella in a schoolboy outfit is one of the most important members of the loudest, grooviest hard rock bands to have ever existed. AC/DC ain't just no rockin band...they're a PHENOMENON.

Stature isn't everything!! Being a small lady, ( 5'3") I taught many people that really GOOD things come in small packages!❤️👍Angus's stature means NOTHING! I never looked at his height- his GIFT , and personality are larger than life!
Not to take anything away from Brian but Bon Scott was AWESOME!
