My nephew used to play these war games before he went into the army and experienced combat firsthand. After he returned from Iraq 🇮🇶 he never played anymore games. He was extremely lucky that he came back in one piece although he has PTSD from his time spent in that warzone.

@@richardburtonjr1889 I say BS. As a 19K in Desert Storm I never killed anyone I felt didn't need it. In Somalia It was even easier. Volunteered for 3 deployments even when Clinton pulled out the Armor. No clue what the PTSD is all about. My family fought through the Dominican, Belleau Wood, Pacific, Korea, and Vietnam and they all said the same thing to me. As long as your killing people who really deserve it you should sleep like a baby. Issues today are the kids have never been raised with adversity like the WW 2 and Korea generations and don't have those people to fall back on. I sent my sons to Afghanistan and explained to them what my grandfather, uncles and father told me. You can kill people for the right reason. I.E. it makes the world better. And you do it without emotion. Do it and know your doing gods work and come home with a clear mind. You kill to save your buddies from the worst of humanity on the planet. Country and apple pie come second. We need to stop raising kids as pussies and as men. This country was not founded on weakness but men who persevered through the worst at Valley Forge and Breeds Hill. Shiloh and Antietam. The Argonne, Guadalcanal, Omaha Beach, Chosin, Dak To, Khe Sahn. Volunteer military. If your not up to the task then don't go. If you do go stop complaining about it. You got what you asked for. Combat is not for the faint of character. There is a reason why we are part of that select club of men.

It was 1990 and I wanted to go to the original Desert Storm. My Sis, Mom and Dad, being selfish, not wanting me to die literally did anything within their power to stop me. I am still, after over 30 years, so pissed off I let them stop me. Its my only regret in my life. Had 4 friends who went. All came home. I would have too. Because I'm a badass 💪. With any battle you have to know you are gonna win before the fight. I've never doubted victory and have never lost any fight (wife not included) to anyone. And I am only 165 lbs 5ft 10inch tall. Actually beat the shit out of every opponent. Rarely a bump or bruise on me. Sorry to ramble, just feel I would have done well and should have helped. Damn It bums me out. Sir Also, THANK YOU SO DAMN MUCH FOR WHAT YOU AND YOURS HAVE DONE. The pain and death your family has saved from others says it all. And reducing the rodent and pest count helps too. Seriously Thank you from my family. YOU ROCK!

@@chrisrichard2526 I agree. Especially about the ptsd. It takes a certain character, or frame of mind to handle that stuff. Not to say the ones that do handle it aren't caring or have no empathy. But if it's a you or them scenario, then from my point of view, it is easy to make sure it isn't you and deal with it, without it leaving a mark on your mental state. I've seen this in extreme danger scenarios where an action one way or another dictates what happens and I've seen how others around me reacted, with some practically throwing their arms in the air type reaction from one person and an instinctual 'let's do this' attitude from the ones that can handle it. I call it mental fortitude! Not everyone has it. Regarding the military. It is quite obvious to me that a large percentage of the population are just not fit for it with regards to their 'mental fortitude' but they are recruited anyway. I wouldn't want them types watching my back!

Look as teh Fire Control Sysytem is needed to be calibrated, I worked on Fire Control system on AC119K, It was a lower version of the AC130G. We suppose to come to the US in 1975 for training on this system on AC130, but of course the fall of South Vietnam.😥

Good God. AC -130 is even scarier than I thought. I'm a human being with a heart. I sort of feel sorry for these targeted enemy people on the ground. Had to be done to save American lives, but it's sad none the less. They had no idea what was coming. Americans are always underestimated.

Dumb targeting choices. Take lead vehicles out first, blocking forward movement by following ones, then block rearward moment by doing the same to trailing vehicles. Then everything in between can be dealt with without worrying about any getting away

I was there well not on that road but the city itself and I’ve seen those AC 30’s in action and you can feel it when it’s close but saves your ass big time glad there on our side

Nah I agree, they get out and run for their lives on cod.. they don't just line up and wait their turn to be blasted one by one 🤣 atleast you see them making some effort to run away... even if they're not gonna make it

Imagine seeing the carnage first hand after that utter shredding?? That's a serious kill count. ☠️☠️☠️ (If it was real)

I know it's only a game, yet a convoy that doesn't have any anti-aircraft defences seems a bit unrealistic.

That gunship crew didn't miss much and the enemy lost everything in the convoy of vehicles and even the crews as well.

That Gunship was lucky John Wayne wasn't in that convoy he would have taken you down dude...!

Just amazing footage from some amazing individuals. But think in a flick of a button peoples lives are just gone . Not existing anymore . Poof there gone. Amazing footage thanks .

when i saw the truck get absolutely ripped apart and then the guy gets out and takes a offensive posture, like he's ready to fight, thats when i knew it wasn't real! Lol He got out like he was gonna do something with his AK😂

Modern weaponry should convince anyone thinking of driving armoured vehicles in an army is not a good idea. Armoured vehicles give a sense of fake protection these days

They are great targets though. Life expectancy for a massive Abrahms tank is minutes. A child with an RPG can disable one. Like battleships they are obsolete. Gunships are more helpless than what they shoot at against any fighter and used only against third-world victims determined to be defenseless. The delicate Stealth bombers are similar. Not designed for actual wars, they are subsonic and like B52s hardly faster than a commercial 747. They can be knocked out by runway debris thrown up by their own tires; since little Serbia destroyed two with ancient AA they are only deployed where nobody can shoot back like the 60 year old AC130
