0:30 That design looks good, the helmet is quite round, round is the best shape for safety.

Looking forward to the long term review. This & the proframe rs are my two contender's to replace my outgoing 7idp project 23.

I care about 2 things with a helmet... How well it fits my head and how well it will protect me in a crash. The first one is easy for me to figure out. The second is so incredibly hard. The Virginia Tech Helmet crash test is the only way I know of to compare helmets in terms of safety. I wish every major helmet manufacturer would send them helmets to test.

We certainly will and in a helmet test series we did last year we actually did a viewer vote and found most all viewers wanted more helmets sent to VT! So we’re hoping we can start a movement there.

Pls, can u make vid about tld d4 helmet. It’s quite popular but there is no full video about it’s safety features and overall sizing, filling etc.

Great video, thank you! How is the Abus Cliffhanger compared to FOX or POC equivalents, quality, specs, price and value per price?

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it. It fits much better than the POC for most of our riders and is competitive with the Fox Speedframe. We will be riding in it a lot more over the next few months for a long term review. If it fits your head well, it seems like a great helmet to consider. We dig it so far.

In terms of design only helmet looks realy nice. For me, it's the first time I see this one. I just think about if to chose Giro Source, or Smith Engage actually.. (others in my search were Smith session, Bell 4forty, MET Terranova/Echo, Fox Speedframe, Sweet Protection Trailblazer or POC Axion .... a lot of helmets 🥵). I must say, Giro Source sit flawlesly on my head and I have secure feeling like it keeps my head from all sides. In poc I have a feeling like I have some free space around my head, even tightened up, Bontrager pushing my nape of the neck and Fox and ABUS I don't have possibility to try somewhere 😒 so i can only imagine how it fits. For me, on a market is a lot of choices 😄😄 I don't like it.

There certainly are a lot of choices, which can be tough, but is also great for competition to push harder to develop and also great for riders with different shaped heads to have something that fits them great. Of course, that also means, trying one on is important... Good luck!

Hi there , honestly speaking. Would one rather take a fox proframe rs over the abus airdrop. As to say, is there a clear response feeling one gets from one or the other , that just screams ( yes this is the one!) Many thanks Ryan

i tried the rs, its nice but my sunglasses wont fit because of the mips cutout, and i dont plan on wearing goggles. Went with this one instead when it was on sale

The green helmet is the Cliffhanger model?

Assuming you are talking about the helmet with the highlighter green accents, you would want to look for the Grey colorway. There is no straight green option for the Cliffhanger or AirDrop.

@5:35 Are most ABUS helmets oval? I really wish fit was advertised more. I can't wear a round helmet without getting a headache.

These are the only ABUS helmets we've tried on, so we can't say, but guessing that their half-shell lids have a similar shell/shape.

FWIW the Cliffhanger, and Moventor 2.0 have more of an oval shape whereas the AirDrop and MoDrop are 'rounder'.

what size was the airdrop you tested?

It's not something we'd wear for downhilling or bike park days on a big bike, but for enduro riding and eBIking where you want a little lighter helmet with more ventilation but some added chin/face protection, it's a way to go.
