For all the hater’s he’s showing you how to clean old oil and grit out of the bearings. You can just put a drop of oil on them every now and then and they’ll be fine. It’s not like this reel is extremely difficult to take apart… If I’m not mistaken, you don’t have to take those centrifugal brakes off. I think you can push them in and they’ll click into place. So if you only want 2 of them working leave them out (or unlocked) and click the rest of them in. Just make sure they don’t get pinched when you put the side cover back on. The screws that hold the side cover on you don’t have to tighten them very tight either… Especially the side with the thumb screws. I just put mine in finger tight. you can use nail polish remover instead of lighter fluid for the same clean and cheaper in some places. being a heavy smoker i can't use zippo like this...

Awesome video. I'm glad to see you went through this. Ive been trying to figure out a couple things. One namely how to get the worm gear spinning and able to keep up with my spool I end up having issues and lose alot of gear. Thank you

In case u guys don't know, they put cheap parts, I bought one brand new and the gears made too much I ended up buying another and it did the same thing you guys should never buy their product they suck especially that real, but the original baitcasting Abu Garcia reel there good

Hi there . I'm a beginner and I have a question for you . I have 6600C5 . It has a clicker alarm on it ( numbered 0 through to 8) . I can't seem to make the clicker click . Any ideas ?

Not gonna oil the bearings?? If theyre just standard bearings and not ceramics, they need oiling lol. This should be called how to ruin a reel within a year or two.

@@djslater358 ceramic bearings usually do not need or use oil unless it’s a hybrid bearing and yet you only lightly oil hybrids

So what's the free upgrade??? Am you've done is clean the bearings and not oil them. Yes it will be fast as shown in the video because you haven't oiled the bearings. Plus, you have a level wind, absolutely no need to have a reel running fast with a level wind. 1 the level wind massively slows the line and the spool tries to over take it thus giving you over run and 2 inevitably the level wind will snap as it does on most reels that are running quick with them...

Hahahaha these guys are crazy that Abu is fine he's got her running out good and all y'all just upset he's able to fish his and your side of the lake,I have upgraded reels with level lines they never have issues even running ceramic paws on the worm gear,this is like a witch trial
