I grew up there for the first 11 years of my life, until I relocated to Dubai in 2006 where I currently live and work. UAE is always a country within my heart.

Thanks! Yeah this channel is technically a travel channel, even though there's a lot of football stuff in it. And whilst I do stadium tours mainly because people request them, it's this sort of thing (city guides) that I actually like doing. Just wish I had more views and subs to show for it. Cheers!

Yeah, it can seem a little uptight, for sure. I found that it's a lot less busier and the people there are a lot more laid back, but the authority figures (like Police) are a lot more uptight. Abu Dhabi is definitely worth visiting again, there's plenty to keep you entertained.

Thank you very much. Abu Dhabi is definitely worth seeing, but it's not nearly as easy to get around on public transportation as Dubai is. If you hire a car or take taxi's in Abu Dhabi, you'll be just fine. The bus system is hella confusing. Thanks! Yes, the F1 is a very important event in the city, but that's only in one small part of it (Yas Marina). There's loads of different islands which you can do stuff.

Personally i think Abu Dhabi is far better then Dubai been to both and Abu Dhabi was more enjoyable from what i experienced it was less touristy then Dubai which i liked but that is personal thing.

I did Abu Dhabi as a day trip from Dubai a few times - it is only 1.5 hour drive. I love Dubai but I think Abu Dhabi is actually nicer and better

@@brothersman524 hmm, that's longer than I expected; but, still (to me) driving from point A to point B (if possible) is so much more interesting/appealing than flying the distance (like, for example, the drive from Copenhagen to Geneva, or from Philadelphia to Atlanta). @@mariusmatei2946 If we did drove from Abu Dhabi to Doha, I would have gave you a better insight but we didn't do that. I am aware about going from San Francisco to LA which was about 6 to 7 hours driving because I remembered a driver taking me there. I think it is about 7 hours. I've just checked on Google Map now and it is says about 5.5 hours but there are factors that are needed to be put into consideration like checkpoints, passport control, traffic control and so on

My grandfather spent a portion of his final years studying and sharing the maps and building of Dubai with me.

Looking forward to going here one day! When I was a child we went on holiday to the UK and we had one stop-over in Abu Dhabi. It was only for a few hours so we just stayed in the airport but I have very vivid memories of the beautiful mosaic in the centre of each floor when we were shopping. That was in 1999, so looking forward to returning as an adult and leaving the airport this time! Great video as always Ninh :)

Thanks, I appreciate your kind comments on my video. I think if you take pictures of yourself and generic scenery and attractions, you'll be fine. But under no circumstances do you take pictures of government buildings, security/police or close ups of people without their consent. This is a sure-fire way to land you into trouble.

Yes, it's cheap to take a bus between Abu Dhabi and Dubai ... but it's significantly longer than driving. I'd wish they'd hurry up and build that new train line to Abu Dhabi ... that would make life so much easier!

A family member of mine recently worked in Abu Dhabi, travelling there as a lone female at least once and she didn’t want to come back to England. Seems to me the middle east is literally the only remotely safe place for us foreigners with brown faces. Watch this space!

Well, in terms of violent crime, I can say for certain that cities like Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, or Manama guarantee far greater safety than cities like Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, or Minneapolis.

To live on a permanent basis, (personally) I favour cities like Copenhagen, or Geneva, but I Would Most Definitely go on a one-week holiday to cities like Abu Dhabi, or Dubai!!

It is similar to Dubai, but just a lot less busy. Dubai is packed to the rafters at the best of times and you'll find that you can move a lot more freely in Abu Dhabi. That said, I'm looking to do a similar video for Doha soon. All I have to do is get there first!

Great video. You show indeed all the best spots. But sorry you don't give the Louvre Abu Dhabi a little more credit. They have a fabulous collection of art. True the Moma Lisa is not there, but there is so much more to be seen. And what about the "empty quarters" or Qasr al Hosn or the mangroves? So much to see and do.

Thanks Gordon. Don't get me wrong, the Louvre in Abu Dhabi is nice and it has a lot of great pieces - but it wasn't anything special compared to some of the other art galleries out there in the world. During my time there, I didn't cover everything so I couldn't really comment on the other things.

Hey Ninh, you mentioned about car rental in a couple of your videos for Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Which car rental company would you recommend to avoid scam and them not returning the deposit. I'm planning my trip right now. Looks like all the American car rental companies like Thrifty are at the airport. I'm staying near Marina Bay most likely. Is it worth doing the commute to pick up car at Dubai Airport? I'm renting a car so I can drive down to Abu Dhabi. Thanks

To be honest, they're all as bad as each other. It's not the cars or hiring them that's the problem, it's the crap customer service and having to fight for the deposit back. My advice: pick a brand that you trust and pay with your credit card. If there's a dispute, call your credit card provider and they should be able to get your money back. If they insist on you paying in cash, walk away.

This place seems nicer than Dubai, less people, not as crowded, but still plenty to do

Abu Dhabi is the best city ever. It's better than Dubai. I've been to Dubai but not my thing, because Abu Dhabi is my hometown and I love Abu Dhabi. I am currently living in Shenzhen city, a young Chinese city with high tech fastest growing cities in China and the world, it is similar to Abu Dhabi but a lot bigger, better and more efficient! Hope to visit Abu Dhabi soon after China border opens.

It's certainly a lot easier to navigate than Dubai. The only thing I would say is that if it had an underground system or a metro - it'd be pretty awesome. But yeah, your home city is a nice place!

There still a lot of attractions that you didn't mention about Abu Dhabi like the national aquarium and more.

Yes, you can get a simple transit visa for 4 days (96 hours). To get a transit visa, you must have: a passport or travel document with a minimum validity of six months.

- That depends on your flight. - It's more authentic in Abu Dhabi. - Abu Dhabi doesn't have a metro.

Lived in AD for 10 years in the golden times. Great place for a short break and nice people. Look at the offers and buy a Groupon etc. Very safe place and not as strict as the presenter says, just don't be very stupid! The flights are good and the airport is fairly close to the city. Don't pay what they ask, barter and get an official taxi from the airport or you may get ripped off. Have fun and enjoy.

I want to travel to Abu Dhabi to watch the Blackpink concert but I’m not familiar with the city. does anybody know what venue they would most likely be playing in concert? I want to book my hotel now before they release the tickets

The two largest venues for concerts are the Du Arena and the Etihad Arena. Both are located near each other, on opposite ends of the Yas Marina F1 track. It's a short commute from the airport and plenty of hotels nearby. However, I'd probably wait until they announce the venue first before booking! Hope that helps?

Not anymore. A recent drone attack by Yemen resulted in the country banning all hobby drone flights for the foreseeable future.

Yes, I didn't have time to go to the National Aquarium, but the Mosque is definitely one of he best places in Abu Dhabi.
