Early on in my journey, I bought 3 MFK's: Grand Soir, Amyris Homme EXT, and Masculin Pluriel. I will always have a bottle of Masculin Pluriel. Once I'm finished the other two, I won't buy them again. I think MFK is enjoyable, with MP being the best imo, but they are a bit boring. Thanks for the first impression. Good to know more about this one.

No FK got me hooked at first try. They are like a puzzle hard to solve. But, once you solve it, it make perfect sense.

Fate Woman by Amouage is such a stunner!

It really is... Amouage used to make such amazing fragrances... seeing what the house is going through right now breaks my heart 🥺

I have a sample of Abolue Pour le Soir, and for some reason, there was this guilty pleasure about it. Just recently, maybe at the end of last year, I got a decant of it at a very good introductory price. Upon the initial blast, I couldn't help but notice how dry it was My mind questioned the validity of the company I bought it from. The sample came from Twisted Lily in 2015/2016. I haven't compared the two yet. I was going to send you them, but honestly, I forgot. I didn't like the decant. It might be because I put two big sprays on. The opening clashed, and it was loud. It's not that I don't like cumin, for I do enjoy Serge Lutens La Participe Passe. It might be because I don't care for Narciso Rodriguez For Him. The opening is weird, but then there's 20 minutes I like, but then, no. I am enjoying Rococbaracco Joint very much. Money better spent.

Joint is freaking amazing isnt it?? Thats a great take on APLS i feel the same way ... sometimes i smell it and I want to love it and sometimes (especially the first 30 tp 45 min) I am just like Ugh 😒

Not sure why but this house never really spoke to me... Because I do like other stuff he's done. Eau Noire and Rose Barbare are favorites of mine. And I'd love to have a bottle of Ceil de Gum. ✌🏻

Great content bro! I am not familiar with the house of MFK. Here is what I purchased last year from Enchante: Alain Delon, Basile "Uomo" , Biagiotti Uomo , Borsalino , Joint, Captain , Bogart, Ferrari extra -rich, Leonard, Sung, Marbert Man , Irish Moss , Halston Z-14, Fahrenheit/ 2 TESTERS.

There are a few MFKs that do resonate with me. Yet I can easily see why most if not all don't for anyone else (And you hit the nail on the head; take about any Amouage vs. any MFK, the former, a complete fragrance. The latter...)... Have you happened to have tried Ciel de Gum? (another one of his best imo, and disc., of course☹)

I have a 12 ml decant of ciel de gum & after smelling absolue pour le soir last night I now wish I had a full bottle of ciel de gum & a decant of absolue pour le soir... ciel de gum might be his best work of all time 🤠

The collector in me was going to spend $1000 on this. Watching this knowing I don’t rate the house that is the final boss of cotton candy synthetic bombs alongside seeing how underwhelmed you are confirms for me I shouldn’t pull the trigger either. How do you feel about it years on?

I like it more now but don't pay 1000 bucks for it.... try and be patient and try and find a bottle for 300 ... that's about the max it's worth to me

Phew! I was thinking surely not. I get what you say about the collector in you, that you just had to. I'm the same, my New Years list of must buys hasn't even started due to 'got to get this NOW'. This one hardly comes up as you say and has been hyped to the max and looking at the scent pyramid it ticks my boxes. Fortunately I sampled quite a few MFK's last yr and none of them including this one did anything for me. For me, it's done better elsewhere, nothing MFK was ground breaking. And they were just too damned sweet and synthetic. Reminded me very much of Bond No9 Chinatown, now that's a sugar bomb! Even Oud Satin Mood, yes there's rose.... hardly any Oud to be detected and a synthetic sweet haze and that's how it sits. I get similar from Imaginary authors, niceish initial burst then all smell the same on me in the drydown with a slight smokiness. However all said and done sometimes these not so favourable first impressions can turn into a love or a guilty pleasure.

Hell yeah! Enjoy! Be careful with getting packages from rich now. Your address will probably be flagged now. I got a bottle from him last year. He has the mother load and has been selling them off slowly.

People compare it to mitzah and ambre sultan as well. Mitzah I see because of the rose.

Ahhh yes now that you say that I can see Mitzah.. Ambre Sultan ahhhhhh i dont know... I am enjoying now that its been on my skin for 45 minutes ... but that sweetness never fully goes away does it... do you get that sweetness or am I nutz 😂😂

@@RamseytheRam there’s some sweetness. It settles down. I typically spray that stuff from a distance so it’s not as intense. Yeah. I don’t see Ambre sultan. That’s the problem with ambers. They get redundant

Most MFK fragrances are quite boring….sorry to say.
