I'm a bartender in the U.S. I ended up running out of Lillete a while back and decided to improvise. I named the resulting drink the "Corpse Bride" equal 30 ml parts; Gin, Drambuie, triple sec, and lemon juice. Give the glass an Absinth rinse, shake and strain. I believe you will love this

You should try a sour apple slush. Crown royal apple whiskey, sour apple schnapps, lemonade and crushed ice. I’ve seen some variations with other ingredients but that’s the simplest version and the one I’ve tried. A drop of green food coloring helps with presentation especially if making in a blender for a group.

a Ciara dash is a dashing dash at that 😉 **I would think that the fennel, anise and especially the lemon would be a digestive aid. truly though, having something citrus before a decent portion of protein. I had Czech absinthe back in ‘99/00 NYE ...it was quite an evening

During the Fall football season I would go to certain bar on Sundays that had a very nice lady bartender. I let her just make whatever she wanted with only one rule, she could not ask me for any advice and each drink had to be a different one. Ciara reminds me of her and made drinks I had never dreamed of.

The corpse reviver cocktail is basically a generic term and there are dozens of variations and they are all very different with what alcohols and mix they use...generally I believe they are at least 2 types of alcohol and meant to be hair of the dog type drinks.

Haven't tried the Necromancer - in fact your video is the first time I've heard of it. Can't wait to give it a shot. I'm a little leery about the lemon juice included in there, but your glowing review has abated my fears a bit. My personal favorite cocktail (of all of them) is also the Sazerac. I'm drinking a traditional Absinthe drip tonight. Cheers!

It’s the vermouth that mutes the absinthe. You can experiment with vermouth content to dial the absinthe up or down. I’m not sure why but I’ve been experimenting with drinks like this and that’s the way it seems to work. I think the “dash of gin” is just to keep it a Corpse Reviver variant. I don’t think it’s strictly necessary.

Dinner idea: Seared salmon crusted with cashews, a sprinkle of paprika, and a twist of lemon. Side plate of spinach salad, with walnuts, cranberries, mandarin oranges, and raspberry vinaigrette. Chocolate mousse for dessert. Necromancer to finish the night.

Ciara, have you ever had Jungle Juice before? My friend makes his own that I think you would like. Take a 10gal (or 40L) cooler, fill it with ice, srawberries, and blueberries then add: -Everclear or Absinthe -blue Curaçao -coconut rum -tequila or Absinthe (or whichever combination you prefer of alcohol, my friends and I pour an entire bottle of Everclear in alongside some Malibu rum, DonQ rum, and blue Curaçao) -blue Kool-Aid -Brisk Lemon Iced Tea

Helo Ciara, maybe you like to give the Toronto a try? It's a rye based cocktail that uses sugar syrup and Fernet. I'm using 2 parts rye (I like Rittenhouse BiB), 0.5 part Fernet Branca, 0.5 part rich demarara syrup. Stirred and served up in a frosted coupe glass, garnished with an orange peel.

CIARA...I may have already told you this Absinthe story...but it bears repeating! When Prime Minister Winston Churchill stayed at the White House during WWII ...Roosevelt would personally mix the drinks during cocktail hour and was always concocting unusual drinks ( much like yourself) Well when making Martinis he'd splash in a little Absinthe! Churchill HATED the concoction but didn't want to embarrass the President with the result being that for the Prime Ministers stay...the White House plants were watered with Absinthe Martini's!! HA! HA! Love your show! JLM... A&SH PIPER

Love that absinthe and have the same at home. Interesting thing you may wish to try. Rather than using an absinthe rinse for a Saz I load up an atomiser with the absinthe and give maybe 3 sprays into the glass. I've also done the same thing with a peated scotch or with angostura bitters (which I sprayed through a flame onto the cocktail). Will have to try a necromancer and have been looking for an excuse to buy some St Germain. I really want a room like duchessofislay has on her IG account. I think she is american which makes it easier than me with my city centre flat

Okay, Reddit just told me about an "Irish Trash Can". Honestly, it sounds like the type of offensively named drink frat boys do on a dare: 1/2 oz of each of gin, vodka, peach schnapps, white rum, blue Curaçao and triple sec in a high ball glass half filled with Ice and topped with an entire open can of Red Bull upside down into the glass. So basically a suicide with a Red Bull garnish.

Ciara, do you like Greek Ouzo or Sambucca? Those drinks are supposed to also have a licorice flavor. For myself, I cannot stand black licorice. Tastes like medicine to me. LOL
