Abruzzo, Corno Grande, Gran Sasso - Exploring Abruzzo, Italy (Italia), vlog

Our 2nd attempt at climbing the Corno Grande, Abruzzo, Italy; this time no ice but I still have vertigo. At 2912m the Corno Grande is the highest peak in Central Italy and that of the Apennines. This video of our day hiking and climbing shows the different sections of the route we took up from the Campo Imperatore in the Gran Sasso e Monti della laga National Park, Abruzzo. It was a beautiful September day with the most stunning landscapes, and we really felt on top of the world!
Hope you enjoy the video. Please do subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already; it means a lot to us. Grazie! ♥️

Grazie! ♥️

Thank you, so glad you enjoyed watching it. 🥰I enjoyed the hike and climb except my brain really did go like jelly at some points with the vertigo. Gosh yes we certainly ate more than those crisps when we got back home 🤣 couldn't stop eating we were starving after that!

Lovely to hear from you again John. We too would love to take a video of the hotel at the Campo Imperatore but it's closed right now for refurbishment. I wonder if they will be keeping 'the room' as a museum or not. Before, you could pay to go and visit it and there were also Mussolini calendars etc.. for purchase.

Thank you so much for this video. It really brings an adventuours spirit into us all. That's exactly what I needed to see in those moments, since I used to be a big traveler and adventure guy, I lost some myself somewhere along the way. Thanks to your creativity and willingnes to share your adventures I feel like the traveling lion is awakening within. THank you and wish you the best :)

Ciao Gabriella. Absolutely as per our film description, 'the highest peak of the Apennines' and I'm so happy that we got to the top of that! We absolutely love Abruzzo and the endless treasures it has to offer. You Abruzzese are very lucky to grow up with all this around you. Are you from or near San Benedetto in Perillis?
