Very true. Before the term "G Funk" was even coined, West Coast cats called the sound "call it what you want", hence this title track. 99.9% of Hip Hop fans don't even know that contrary to mainstream perception, it was NOT Dr Dre that pioneered that G funk sound, but Cold187 aka Big Hutch. He dropped classic after classic for the likes of Eazy E, Pac, Kokane, ATL... Dre even involved him with the "Compton" album.
