I'm 36 yo. I began to listen to trance in 1997 while it was that supposed thing called "white man crazy music where you need to do drugs to feel good". I never ever did drugs at that time. It's 2019, I'm still listening to this music genre with the same passion than at it's beginning, still not doing drugs. One thing has changed: I am amazed the spread that this genre made in 22years. People coming from every corner of the world, unifying the planet under one religion, one passion, one drug: TRANCE MUSIC. Beautiful!

46 now, had a twist for synth and electronic music in general from eighties so naturally catched trance genre too. Never did drugs and have no wish to do that in future. Good trance music is good by itself, see no reason to mix it with chemicals. I understand that drug dealers make obscene amounts of money from public in entertainment places though. And it started a way earlier than electronic music appeared on scene. "white man crazy music" - I believe it is about rave which appeared several years earlier. At least in my city rave parties in begin of nineties definitely had a second name - a testing ground of synth drugs. Around time when trance came out, drug era in clubs already turned to end. At least trance wasn't a catchphrase for doing drugs.

Same here Trancexx, I am 50 and the early days were the absolute best, couldn't get into that whole grunge shit nor the drug scene of this genre, so I transitioned to trance trip hop etc of the 90s and man the shows back then were amazing, but like wine they are getting better with age. I still go to these deals when time allows the people you meet are amazing, they come from all over the world, I am most definitely going to see these guys when they hit here in Los Angeles, and on a wild whim I found out PVD is coming nearby next week (if you consider Portland, Or. nearby LOL) so I am going to that as well.) And I totally agree with you.... the one drug is TRANCE!

For me it all began at the age of 15 back in 1993. Today going on 42 and Trance is still a major part of my life. 27 years of pure love like no other. Had girlfriends that were jealous :)And like u brother...no drugs. Just dopamine and goosebumps :)Dare i say that i found my fountain of youth. :D

Absolutely. Hairs on my arms be standing everytime I listen to it.

I was having one of the worst weeks of my life until this event came along. The first six minutes of this set completely reset every bad emotion, every negative thought, and it let me breathe. Everything was okay. I remember how hard I cried that night. Tears of joy, not sorrow. Trance music, regardless the flavor really is a force to be reckoned with.

This is so true. I did not have any idea what trance was all about until I let the rhythm move me, not just my body dancing and listening but in being there and experiencing it. It is access to unlimited joy. I have mentioned to others that it is as if your amygdala had been turned into a dopamine dripping prostate gland that only stops pumping when the volume is low. There is a 1-10 scale for pain and a 1-10 for joy as well. Be advised. Family and home is now THERE within and always with and in the trance. It is the force!

No matter how bad things are at the time one way or another as I say from something bad something good always happens.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to my son Andrew Roberts for introducing me to ABGT and the whole Anjuna family a couple of years ago. I am 59 years old and went with him to an ABGT set in Manchester in 2019 - absolutely wonderful! fantastic music, wonderful people (made some new 'Anjuna family' friends) hope to go again one day. in the interim it's my happy music - everyday!

What do you exactly mean by relentless and dark? To me it was still pretty slow and diverse and for my personal taste the set could have had a bit more Trance and/or faster tracks.

I liked that they dipped into a bit of a darker sound with this set. I was actually expecting to hear Distorted Truth somewhere in here, and was surprised that it wasn't featured. I would definitely describe that one as dark, hard and relentless.

Above and Beyond has seen me through some hard times and some of my recent happiest. But here on December 21st 3:15 MST and my life has finally changed for the better and I couldn’t help but come and listen to Above and Beyond. If you read this I hope one day life comes through for you. ✌🏻💯

'Reverie' is heartbreaking! It has so much movement in it and just transports you to such a beautiful place in your head. Amazing job A&B! 🙌🏻😭💘

I've followed them since about 2010 and have seen them more times then I cab count. Im so fortunate and privileged to have been to experience them. The sound track of my life 👐

The first 30 minutes of the set were a great warm up, to get everyone loose and settled in. Then the drop hits on Myon's remix to "Carry On", and the set POPPED OFF after that. There was a clear shift in energy, and they went balls deep with every track moving forward!

Man nothing like seeing someone about to burst into happy tears when someone is laying it down like this. And there are a lot of people in this crowd about to start crying happy tears. It’s beautiful to watch and was one of my favorite things to see.

I am absolutely loving this set. I started listening to anjuna about a year ago and can t stop since then. I also evolved from saying ´meh´ over this set to adoring these 2 hours of pure bliss.

I was having a really bad day...... felt very depressed as lots of things in my life are going bad...... then I watched this, 2 hours later, feeling great, fist pumping the air 😁☺️👌 Thank you so much 🙏

thank YOU ALL for making this abgt so wonderful! It was so much different from abgt 200 in amsterdam. but the family, the spirit, the love, the kindness, the connection is the same. THANK YOU so much @aboveandbeyond for this awesome night, i could spend with you, my son, his cousin and my girlfriend... where ever agbt400 takes place.. above or beyond our planet.. I´m inn!

There are so many electronic music festivals and concepts around the world, but ABGT is amongst the top. The music, the visuals, the beautiful filming, the single connection between the crowd and the DJs, you rarely see that in other festivals. Keep up the good job !
