Aboriginal lady calls in the BIG BARRAMUNDI for me

We're in Aurukun, an aboriginal community deep in Cape York, Australia for this episode and the amazing Topsy has taken me out on the water to chase those elusive big barramundi. Topsy is an indigenous woman whose ancestors have lived in this part of Cape York forever and she shares her secret to catching these big barramundi. It's not all about the big ones though, we have an amazing day catching fish for all the family and Catch and cook barramundi the traditional way for lunch.
Enjoy!

Man, how awesome is Topsy, what a legend. i have to get out to Arukun next year when im up that way in October. That spot and those legends seem amazing. i actually got pinned by one of those bloody catfish in Darwin in September, right in the knuckle on my index finger, it's still a bit swollen and keeps getting bits of broken spine come out of the skin now. Thakyou so much once again for sharing your experiences legend man. And you actually caught some decent fish, well done, those Grunter are absolutely delicious yum yum. And an absolute massive thank you to Topsy for showcasing her awesome country. AMAZING

Nice one Nath, very enjoyable. Can't understand why these flaming crocs over here are not sorted out and protected, yet the turtles are not. Surely the Indigenous people hunted them at some point! Are these blastered flies over here protected😜. Couple of weeks left here now...Take care. The Wild Screechers. Hi Mel.

Love your Videos and content, I think you are really respectful and grateful for the people you meet and get to know. Wondering why the titles of your episodes are “Aboriginal lady” why not have her name in the title? I’m guessing by doing so wouldn’t generate as many views? Or potential likes or show up in peoples news feeds? Bit of a shame. This is what, the 3rd episode you have done Topsie? Anyway would love to hear your reasoning.

Hi Sam, you’re right in a way. KZread and it’s algorithm are very complicated. My goal is to get aboriginal life and culture in front of as many eyes as possible. I want to learn as much as I can and share that journey with people around the world. Topsy is an amazing aboriginal lady, People who already watch the show know her as Topsy but the rest of the world have no idea who Topsy is so “Aboriginal lady” explains exactly what people will see in the episode getting them to click and hopefully learn.

I guess I didn’t think of people world wide that might watch the show. I often wonder about titles of KZread videos. Ive been lucky enough to have lived across the gulf in Arnhem Land majority of my life experiencing and learning culture similar to what you are currently doing. Love the videos and thanks for clarifying.
