    Glad that once the frustrating part of loading the packs was over that there now seems to be significantly less headaches! Do you know if it’s possible to use send fx in standalone? Also, can you print fx automation in standalone? Like if you messed w/ the feedback of the delay, could you include the resulting chaos as part of the loop/clip?

    A note on arrangement, you can actually record to the timeline, you just won’t be able to see it until you transfer the live set to your computer. This was shown on loopop’s video. He also transfers a demo project that has no session clips and just an arrangement timeline onto the push 3 and it plays on the push 3 in standalone mode.

    For me, having a standalone MPE drum machine almost feels like it’s what Roger Linn was working on coming to fruition. Not only that but full MPE synth engines built in, sequencing capabilities etc. It’s not perfect but it feels more like the next step into the future of music instrumentation. I hear people complaining about “where are the beats?” Well, you can do beats on this but you are seriously wasting its potential and capabilities. Is it for everyone? No. Is it perfect? No...but it’s a step in the right direction.

  • @DylanParisMusic

    I need to retest this, I forgot how to change the input from Line to Instrument and adjust the input gain last time I used a guitar so it sounded bad, but I’m 100 percent positive that was my fault cause I forgot how to get to audio settings until I read the manual after. I will definitely dive more into this, but I think it thrives with Guitar and Bass compared to dynamic mics for vocals, because it can properly supply the right amount of gain, and because there are Amp, Cabinet, Pedal, and more plugins that make electric string instruments thrive.

    All the videos I've seen about the Push 3 appear to involve making a four-bar pattern with minimal change in harmony, atop which variations are played. Of course, longer works might mean a video of impractical length, but...is this sort of endlessly repeated four-bar phrase all people do with the Push 3? If there are larger-scale works , I'd be very interested in hearing about them.

  • @DylanParisMusic

    @DylanParisMusic

    10 ай бұрын

    A few of my other videos showcase tracks that I made off camera over hours rather than minutes. Your point about impractical video length is essentially the root of most track from scratch videos sounding simple. Additionally my guess is producers who are full time and deep diving and producing may not be the same folks making weekly KZread videos on top of a full time job, but that’s just speculation on my part

IOW No monitor or just turn monitor off and do it all on the Push 3 with the Mini PC or Mac Mini providing the Brain? I know its a Crackpot idea , I don’t really NEED a battery Powered Push but using just the Push 3 to control Ableton without needing to look at monitor or touch Mouse and Keyboard would be NICE! I’m not sure how you’d get it to boot into Ableton directly and not have any config issues, but assuming that was all set properly I think that would work. Would give you an audio interface, and access to third party plugins. But many of those would boot without any controls on screen. Not sure it’s worth the hassle vs just using like a MacBook and putting it to the side

    I don’t think you can actually export the stems after you do this, so I’d probably just do this in controller mode so I could see the recording stuff in realtime and mess with the tracks right after, but this is still neat! Thanks man! yeah it’s always tricky with free gear. I think as long as people disclose they get stuff for free it’s okay, but it does potentially change the dynamic of what you focus on. Like, even the same exact problem is gonna hit super different if you pay 2000 vs get something for free. In my opinion it doesn’t negate the free person’s opinion, it’s just an element you have to keep in mind as a viewer. For example, as someone who paid 2000 for the OP-1 Field a few months before this came out, I feel pretty bitter. Someone who got that for free probably doesn’t have that feeling. Their feelings are valid, we’re just in different positions.
