    This video seems to be getting a lot of views lately for whatever reason - footer was on the bottom by accident, was set up in OBS that way and couldn't remove it after the fact. Also, the video is several years old so nothing I can really do about it. Hope you enjoy it anyways!

    If you're using a DAW besides Ableton and want to get close to Erosion's effect, download Melda's MFreqShifter, turn the main shape to noise and shift the frequency down until you can't hear any harmonics (about -950Hz). Run that and a band pass in parallel and you'll have something close.

  • @VenusTheory

    @VenusTheory

    6 жыл бұрын

    Yo! Well it kinda depends, there are two kinda routes I go with this: if I know I'll end up highpassing the reese, I'll make a mono sub to go under it. However, sometimes I make a big detuned sub that goes under it that's not in mono. Generally speaking, I don't care too much about mono compatibility as I make music for headphones and not the club. That said, I do generally check it in mono to make sure the low end isn't totally lost - if it is, I may sum it to mono on the lower end, or create a mono sub patch to layer underneath, and highpass the reese. So, really just depends on what it calls for. Sometimes I don't even mono it if it's not lost when I check the mix in mono!

  • @VenusTheory

    @VenusTheory

    5 жыл бұрын

    Yo! Great question. This is caused by the detuning of the voices/oscillators. So, you would just not want to detune them and that will stabilize the sound. The wobble is caused by the detuning as the waves cycle in and out of phase.

    I've been testing several ways to do a reese bass on serum I made several wavetables using several synths and I used many effects controlled by the envelope I made this pack to be used in several genres: wave / witch house / rnb / future garage / dnb were many I'll leave the presets link to analyse :drive.google.com/open?id=1OYJB86XEMN7XI5UGVq4NLLVvT6qA7He3

    You are a genius bro!!!! Just a question. How can I get the sound of this bass: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fKeLlKyqdcjVqtI.html

    Haha thanks dude! As for that bass, that sounds a lot like a standard FM house bass. Usually created by just feeding one sine at a higher ratio into another at a lower ratio. Then, add a slight filter envelope. Otherwise, just create a saw sound with some unison and the same filter envelope and that'll get you going in the right direction.

    Hey dude! I don't own FL, but if I ever have the cash to pick it up I might and then do some tutorials with it! This same bass patch would translate to 3xosc and/or Sytrus though!
