    I chose this over the mystery ranch ua24 because the separate laptop compartment on the ua is good in theory but it wastes a lot of space. I had a similar problem with the osprey nova and I realized that I’d much rather have the laptop compartment inside the main compartment now because it’s more space efficient. And besides 21-22L is perfect for my petite frame and needs.

    Which bag would you recommend to take to a decent restaurant or cafe that can fit a 14” MacBook?

    This really caught my eye at first, but that laptop sleeve looks like a huge pain to use when your pack is full. They should have removed that quick access pocket at the top and added a dedicated laptop compartment. That would have sold this for me. But that laptop solution as it is I don’t see myself being able to deal with that for work.

    fair point, the backpack is pretty sexy, but I also enjoy dedicated laptop compartments, this might be something that put this purchase on pause for me, maybe they'll change the design in the future... Then again, a separate compartment for a laptop requires more space and then the bag becomes even thicker again, that would defeat it's purpose for me since I already have the Aer Travel Pack 3 Small X-Pac for when I want a bigger bag that can carry more... The whole backpack game is a never ending circle lmao, I have so many nice backpacks already, yet it is impossible to make the perfect backpack, there just isn't one bag to rule them all, sadly...

    Able carry makes returns very difficult. It is a tedious process with multiple, time consuming requirements which must be precisely executed within two week from the time their product arrives at your doorstep. One digit was mistakenly inaccurate in the tracting number of my return, which I was required to enter and submit. My return package arrived at their facility and they didn’t bother filing my return, or notify me. The return had my return address clearly legible. Able carry intentionally complicates their return process to thwart returns. Had I not followed up on my return, I am quite certain they would have merely resold my backpack, and not credited me. UPDATE: the owner reached out to me and was very courteous and apologized for my experience. He reimbursed me on the return shipping and credited the purchase. Stated that their return policy will be restructured

    would you say this is better than the aer city pack pro x pac? what would you say is different that you like/dislike?

  • @jimbobones-jones3343

    @jimbobones-jones3343

    To me, this bag looks a little smaller and more compact. I just returned my city pack pro because it was a bit larger and bulkier than what I needed on a regular basis. I would have kept it if it had compression straps, but I felt a bit silly at the prospect of only using 25% of the bag's capacity on my daily commute and the bag holds it's shape really, really well (both a pro and a con!) Now started looking at 20L bags, and liking the look of this so far! - Weatherproof & comfy (so suitable for long walks and such) - Lots of useful compartments for travel - Big enough to carry all the things you'll need in a day, but small enough to not be overly bulky if you're not carrying much

    @@MaeSekou I didn’t end up getting the able carry in the end. I ultimately thought it was a bit too expensive for what it was. If you’re paying £200 for a bag it should be pretty perfect and it’s not easy to test it out here in the UK (buying online and returning would be a pain.) Not sure about the fit pack. I didn’t like the middle zip design. Stand by my comment above on the city pack pro - great bag if you want something that’s pretty big and holds it’s shape.

    If the original is 20 liters, why make a 21 liter? Maybe a 25 liter would have made more sense.

    I mean... the old 20L one didn't have the 1L fitting water bottle pocket so I'm assuming that one liter difference would explain it pretty much? This feels more like v2 of the previous 20L model than anything else.
