I have heard this ghazal by Mehdi Hassan ji so many times that i never liked any other version because I never thought ki koi itni roohaniyat ke sath iss ghazal ko nibha bhi sakta hai.. But, Aap ne iss Ghazal ko apna bana liya Rahul ji.. It's so so beatiful and jo aap ne apni baat isme daali hai usne isme 4 chaand laga diye.. Can't explain it in words.. Thank you so so so much for this.. 🙏❤️

Hmm he has trained only for something like 35 years under the watchful eyes of some of the greatest classical singers ever. Not enough maybe ever thought he did not explore more not because he can't but as a tribute to the original composition?
