The tattoos are also used in disease tracking of a horrible neurological disease called scrapie. It's like an ear piercing, it only hurts for a little while but helps ensure that diseases are traceable and therefore contain able. This saves many animals lives.

This is not cruelty. We're doing the rounds on KZread for a case study and documentary on Goat abuse (You can check my channel description for more info) and this isn't it. We're using machine learning to detect and automatically categorize them into playlists until the editing team are ready. Some of the cruelty right here on KZread is absolutely disgusting.
