I know I said a cover next time but I am writing a lot of original songs these days!!!
Also major new thumbnail font alert!! This is my 4th font change.
I still consider this not well produced enough so although as always I encourage you to listen on headphones, this song is very much in the "demo" stage. I wrote it a couple days ago!
Yeah so for school we had a list of things we had to include in the song and the one I chose was "It's obvious how he looks at you" because there was a lot of potential for there to be like "the other woman" vibes, like oh my boyfriend left me for another girl bla bla bla.
So I was like it would be cool to make it addressed to that "other woman" but then I realized I kinda JUST wrote a song addressed to a girl and titled named after her etc etc (Isabelle, check it out) so I was like no find something different. And THEN I thought how cool would it be if this lover figure, instead of finding love in a different person, ended up falling for a place instead. Like they found themselves somewhere, and how that ended up being why the relationship couldn't go on.
So I ran with that idea and was like what is the place, it had to be 3 syllables because it just had to be (with the melody line I was thinking of) so I originally thought "Amsterdam" but changed it to "Aberdeen" yesterday because I was encouraged to by my parents and my roommate and it is just a bit nicer to sing. Let me know your thoughts on this. Also there''s a million great songs already called Amsterdam. And I decided not to look up if there's any songs called Aberdeen.
I just keep typing! Anyway there's a little bit about how this song came to be. I hope you like it :)

Thank you for including lyrics. I'm not a native English speaker, and understanding what is sung can be quite hard sometimes. That story was quite beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us. EDIT: I also love reading what you write in the description.

Lovely song! It's been a tough time for me lately, but this was really sweet
Listening to this, I see so many romantic scenes slowly feeling him drift away to another "love" aka place as he looks out the window as the moon lights his face 1 among many visions. Finally revealing that note to feel both blue and yellow colors of his next chapter. The way you paint a picture with your tune and lyrics to a place that is called Aberdeen makes it that much more fantastical. Lucy great job this is amazing work. You have a great rest of your day and hope your enjoying the turning leaves of Autumn. P.S. The font change fits nicely, it feels like the name of the town that would be written in.

bruh, that last line hits hard. another great song :). also Lucy I am going to recommend hurt by johnny cash. It may be little hard, cause he wasa straight up base and your in treble or not, I don't know what your process is. I just want to hear a treble sing that song, and I think with your voice and those lyrics, it would amazing. just take it into consideration.
