Great choice to start with ABBA. I'm not a disco fan, but Voulez-vous, Lay All Your Love On Me (only lyric video), Gimme, Gimme, Gimme (sampled by Madonna Hung Up) and Summer Night City are great masterpieces. Take care and choose long versions of the two latest, not only the short 3' radio ones. As an high quality alternative the LIVE versions from Wembley 1979 are avaible, also the two song package Does Your Mother Know+Hole In Your Soul - ABBA full energy, passion and engagement. I'm sure all these will blow your mind. The progressive song Eagle from German TV Starparade 1978 is also a long version with moderne screen art à 1978. Treasure troves for live songs are Australian 1977 (came from ABBA The Movie: specially Why Did To Have Be Me) and Dick Cavett Meets ABBA 1981, really TV live music, not only the broadcasting. I was a little girl with blonde pick tails and adored ABBA as many of my friends. We played dress up and sang and danced to their songs.Abba is the first band I remembered the name from a a little girl. I think I must have been in between 7 and 10 years old and I still love listening to them. Brings back very sweet memories

This album is in my top 3 of all time. No one ever reacts to a lot of these songs on this album, and its a shame. If it Wasn't For The Nights, As Good As New, Angeleyes, Voulez-Vous, The King Has Lost His Crown, and Kisses Of Fire are ALL amazing songs (im partial to Kisses since i remixed that one).

Your points are stronger when you don't throw "as well" on to the end of the sentence. It's almost never necessary, and it gets repetitive. Many people have gotten into this habit for some reason. That's a good one.More mature and atmosheric.

I've never made this connection before but there are certain similarities to That's the Way (I Like it) by KC and the Sunshine Band. The syncopation, the staccato brass. I often find editors of videos really annoying. I mean Agnetha swishing her gorgeous long blond hair about. Why .... oh WHY ... would you only show just a second of that????

Agnetha was the first crush of many young men from the 60's and 70's, me included. A true Nordic goddess with an angelic voice and the perfect ass... I have always loved ABBA and the magic they brought to music. I'm so grateful I grew up in that era, when music was real and didn't rely on electronic enhancements.
