1. I had a huge crush on Agnetha (blonde) 2. This band was part of what made 70s music great. All on the same station you can hear this group, Elton John, David Bowie, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles and Alice Cooper and not miss a beat.

Not only a fun song, many famous musicians have said this is one of the greatest pop songs ever written.

This band is unique and brilliant ! Love their music until i was a kid. 😍

Agnetha and Frida looked so beautiful in this one- loved those outfits. And, of course, they all sound so amazing.

It's obvious how incredible they were. This song might be my favorite from ABBA. And Agnetha.....OMG.

They sold 500,000,000 million albums, up there with The Beatles and Michael, and had 20 albums and 28 HITS. Check out 'The Winner Takes it All', Chiquitita', 'The Name of the Game' and 'Gimme Gimme Gimme' All amazing pop standards! If you've seen the movie 'Mamma Mia' then you will have heard most of their hits. Every song in that movie is their song, recorded by various cast members. ENJOY!

watching the lady reacting to the video is the best. Her body language goes from lukewarm to happy. Ihat is what ABBA can do.

They had a ton of great hits in addition to Dancing Queen. The song writing team of Andersson and Ulvaeus is every bit as prolific as Lennon and Mc Cartney. I do not not think I ever heard ABBA do a cover song because they had so many songs that came from their minds, that they did not have to cover. They rightfully went into the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME in 2010. One of the greatest pop bands ever. They should never be underrated.

I'm so happy I discovered your channel!! I'm 64, did much growing up in the 1970s and a huge ABBA fan! They are amazing with so much variety and excellence. Keep them in your playlist for sure!

For me they sang so many great songs with fantastic lyrics however this is for me is there absolute best song love it so much emotion and passion in the performance. ❤❤❤

Only one number 1 in the US though. In the UK, one of the toughest and most competitive music markets - especially in the 70s and 80s - they had no less than NINE No.1 hits and twenty Top 10 hits :)

Hey, Mojo. You might really also like the audio version of SOS. It's got an incredible sound, full of stereo depth Moog layers, the live performance barely hints at, and was a huge hit on the radio, in 1975, certainly on heavy rotation. Pete Townsend, of the Who, says it "transported" him, when he heard it, and Elvis Costello says it's his "favorite pop song ever." I hope you check it out. It'd make a great reaction, too!

Hey Hey Mojo! Howdy Lady Max! ABBA was and is a guilty pleasure for me as well. Hard to deny the polished, catchy, clear sound they brought to the table. For the record, I was a Frida guy (the dark-haired one}! Shame the marriages both ended, but they certainly left behind a giant musical footprint.

The were around for ten years we loved them in the UK listen to the Piper by abba.

Those kitty cat dresses. Love them. It is interesting how he used the honky tonk piano (the instrument not the style) to create a unique effect.

Abba wrote so many timeless pop songs but can I suggest you listen to their song Eagle the best thing they ever recorded in my opinion.

SOS is an awesome song - Agnetha Also did a solo version in Swedish - same backing Track - this version is lip synced - they rarely performed live 😊

there was SO much competition with great music in the 70's Just being pretty good was not good enough. Of course it would be more then enough today.

Abba is a guilty pleasure for me, they crafted a lot of perfect pop songs, very talented producers as well as performers. That looked like lip-syncing to me though, not live.

1) "Guilty pleasure" - I will never learn to understand this. Why should anyone feel guilty about liking something unless it's, say, Nazism? @@suziejane1008 I think it's pretty clearly lip-synched. No bass player on the stage; no drummer; Benny playing what's clearly an acoustic piano yet there's an electronic keyboard in the mix. That's definitely the studio-recorded track.

Well if you have the time, can you search for the Waterloo at Eurovision performance? That was what put them on the map. And then, Andante, Andante (very sensual). They are quite good and they are like magnets, drawing you into their spell. I hope you will try.

Don't think there underrated as far as groups go I think only the Beatles have sold more records..

I was 8 when I first hurd it. I remember it was Halloween and we had just arrived at my Aunts house and me and the other kids where getting ready to go. I still get the taste and smell of the old dab on vampire blood and makeup when I here this. Ahh Nostalgia.
