Love this version of the song. It's nice to hear them each speak. Benny so handsome and Anni-Frid aka Frida has such a sultry speaking voice and how stunning she looked in that pink dress with her red hair.

"Money money money" (1976) it is a very good song in a different musical style, cabaret type, set in another era "Money money money" is the single that followed "Dancing Queen" and reached #3 in the UK, #1 in Australia and several European countries. It is a totally different song from its predecessor "Dancing Queen" and also from its successor "Knowing me knowing you" This is the versatility of ABBA, they go from genre to genre, as well as from success to success As after "Waterloo" they did not succeed with the reiteration of styles (the singles "Ring ring" and "So long", although good, did not stand out on the charts) So they tried not to repeat themselves The song lends itself very well to Frida's lower voice, the choruses are sharper in contrast (and very catchy) The instrumentation is excellent The official video is one of ABBA's best, very creative, it shows Them in fashion situations and also with their famous kimonos

Another comment This is a TV special that ABBA did in Japan 1978 In the introduction, the four members of ABBA are seen introducing themselves and telling things about themselves and Sweden, and becoming more familiar to the Japanese. Björn says that his name is like the famous tennis player Björn Borg (world # 1 in that 70's) Agnetha talks about how to pronounce her name and how are the days with little daily light in Sweden Benny tells about the famous Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman and the Nobel Prize Frida talks about how they know each other and their love for Music, and each other as couples this interpretation of "Money money money" is excellent If you pay attention, despite the absolute and perfect synchronization of Frida and Agnetha with their voices (ABBA's trademark, making their famous 'Third Voice' together) Frida's deep voice and Agnetha's high-pitched tones can be distinguished in the powerful choir In this TV special ABBA sings three songs live, with an orchestra behind, which makes the interpretations more symphonic or orchestral: "Money money money", "S.O.S." and close with "Thank you for the music" and I think that's a good suggestion for them to make a future reaction "Thank you for the music" ABBA live, Japan 1978 kzread.info/dash/bejne/eJuAp5uvZrKyorg.html I wish you a greatest weekend My best regards from Buenos Aires , Argentina , South América

I know that the 1974 'Waterloo' single was recorded by them in English/Swedish/German and French.Actually the French version sounds quite sexy! Also the preceded single 'Ring Ring' had also been recorded in Spanish.long before the 1979 Spanish' Chiquitita era'.

@@starry2006 Probably just very high quality cameras. Japan were ahead of everyone else in the technology department. This is 1978 but it looks closer to the standard we had in the 1990s.

Yes she was born in Norway but because of circumstances of her birth her mother and grandmother took her to Sweden for her safety as a baby and that is where she grew up and considers herself Swedish.

The quality of this footage is astonishing considering it's around 45 years old. BTW the backing band is not meant to dominate, but thanks for your unique perspective on ABBA.

Thanks for the ABBA. I love all the live stuff from that TV special. The lip synched stuff is good too but there's something about a live orchestra backing. They aaid the biggest problem was the audience's were too polite. They sat silent and politely clapped at the end of a song. They asked what they were doing wrong but were told the crowd loved them and it was just their culture. ABBA was/is very big in Japan.
