One of the greatest bands. To me, they are up there with the Beatles. So many hit songs.

There has never been a happier song that makes me weep uncontrollably like Chiquitita does. Possibly because it's the theme song for a character in a novel I'm writing, but still, I would probably cry anyway.

One of the best and most beautiful songs ever written and performed. The magic of ABBA.

The instrumental outro was a big Tik tok trend last summer(2021).Also a huge hit in many Spanish speaking countries achieving phenomenal sales and even today is considered as kinda of an anthem there..Another fan gave us the info that it was even No1 in Mexico for... 32 weeks!

They also made a Spanish version of this song that they actually sing fluently. It's incredibly popular in the Latin world.

The live version from the Wembley concert from 1979 is magical. You should absolutely check that one out as well. And Does your mother know/ Hole in your soul from the same concert. Fantastic stuff.

This is the song of life, for each of us, at one time or another. Many of their songs are masterpieces that will live on forever. The Jacksons performed Shake Your Body in front of that very snowman. Lots of stars went to Switzerland in February 1979 to record some international music variety shows headed by the BBC. ABBA had their own show 'ABBA in Switzerland' but there was also a show called 'Disco in the Snow' and some other variations.

Maybe that's where a young Michael.Jackson had possibly saw and kept in mind Abba's Agnetha,as he wanted to duet with her for his 1987 hit "I Just can't stop loving you", amongst Whitney,B.Streisand and Aretha Fraklin.Didn't happen though since most of the previous singers chosen were busy at the time on other projects,so he finally ended sharing this with Siedah Garreth.

This was fun. Great to see the old songs from when I was a kid. My favorite is Dancing Queen. I also love Waterloo. ps. They are Kings and Queens in Sweden. Don't get caught saying anything even remotely bad about them there. And collectively the 4 members are Worth over 1 Billion dollars per Forbes.

If you check the official ABBA Gold songbook, Chiquitita is capitalised as the last word of a line. So although it means little girl, it's being written as a name.

Glad to to see the charming lady LULU being so joyful and having childhood "harmony-memories" from this song.But i must say that i feel that JOHN must really have a special weakness on Abba.Since It's not their only Abba reaction i've watched by them i think that he sometimes seems he gets slightly more emotional while watching Abba stuff.Am i wrong?
