Abassov, he has many opportunities to beat Magnus but couldn't see it. If Hikaru or other super GM they will saw it immediately. Sometimes, for first timer to play former champion and the number chess player could affect our game.

@@fadeighty2842 The awful opening with two sets of double pawns probably took him away from his game plan. The rest of the match was probably him improvising, which actually makes it impressive but unfortunately makes the board harder to read cause everything seems something new to you.

@@haroldcruz8550 that's not awful that's misleading opening from Magnus. He wants his opponent unprepared for his opening so that Abassov could not read his game plan. Basically, that's how should master do because for so many openings and games have been played and studied most of them know how to counter it.

@@fadeighty2842 I was referring to the awful result of the opening from Abasov, which was the result of the novelty move by Magnus with pawn to d3 if I remember it correctly (sorry too lazy to watch the opening again).

The fact that Abadov rook was sitting blockaded by the Bishop made it quite difficult for both players to that line. Even too, commentators didn't understand why the Eval bar suddenly fell that quick for white, so technically, it was a moment of double ignorance from both players, I would say, but it's justified

that queen move is hard to see...that is why no human can beat stockfish

  • @haroldcruz8550

That's because those moves aren't really that obvious, under pressure even a GM can miss those. The only move that was obvious in that sequence was white bishop to a7, that's why Magnus was so critical of himself when he missed it.

Beating Magnus Carlsen is not so hard at all. The main problem is whatever move magnus plays his opponents things that this is the best move. That's how magnus effect works

If it wasn't for the engine this video would not exist. Magnus played as well as he could and if the engine sees something Magnus did not then Magnus did not blunder - the engine cannot be beaten and engines compete with each other and improve each year. The engine is not infallible and there are many cases where an engine's poor interpretation of a move was proven wrong.

Don't be silly, it's a blunder, and the follow-up is a three move combination. It's not an obscure engine line, any top player could win straight away if they were told the move.

@@Klont123 Yes, she didn't exactly say that but her question that she asked to Magnus implied the same meaning as it is in my question. Only difference is, the interviewer's question sounds diplomatic, while mine just blunt and direct. Also, for you, if you're gonna criticize me, at least learn how to use basic "ADVERB" in English. It isn't, "do it correct", but "do it correctly".

@@Klont123 Maybe you should learn language more so you can differentiate which one is "real quotation" like the ones used on scientific reports, and which one is "paraphrased statements". The question I wrote above doesn't have "quotation" mark, thus signifying it is a paraphrased version of a question from the source. A real quotation also has a source from which a statement is taken, while mine doesn't. It just simply says, "Question". if for example, I wrote, "Tania asked, "..........". Then that's a real quotation. Instead, I wrote, "Question", which refers to my interpretation (Which you also mentioned above). Also: Because of the fact that you need to learn English Language more properly, you're now thinking I'm misusing a quotation. It's because of your lack of knowledge in English that now you are thinking that way.
