One question, what do you mean by "special mesh patterns" for specific processes?

in some FE simulations, the mesh pattern has a direct effect on the simulation results. in this tutorial, I have mentioned two examples about the importance of mesh pattern. in the reverse extrusion simulation, if we use a simple pattern of mesh, we will receive error because the ALE technique cannot generate high quality elements at the middle of the simulation. so we must use that special mesh pattern.
Sir, I am designing a horizontally concrete curved section and I wrap the end of cfrp NSM plates using cfrp sheets of 100mm width. I obtain an error of "volume of x elements is zero, small or negative.Check coordinates or node numbering or modify mesh seed" I tried to partition the cfrp sheets and verify the mesh. But I again I got the same error. What can I do to solve this error

Hi. you must do these modifications in the mesh module: 1) changing the seeding and using smaller elements in the regions with more curvature. 2) changing the meshing technique. for example if it is structure, it must be changed to sweep and test this technique. 3) changing the partitioning. sometimes partitions lead to low quality elements and they must be changed. finally if you couldn't resolve it yourself, you can use our online tutoring and consultancy service to resolve the issues.

the volume of 8 elements is zero, small, or negative. Check coordinates or node numbering, or modify the mesh seed. In the case of a tetrahedron this error may indicate that all nodes are located very nearly in a plane. The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemVolSmallNegZero. how can i deal with this

Hi. This error indicates there are several elements which have un acceptable quality in your model. To resolve this error, you must mesh the model in a way which the quality of mentioned elements increase to avoid this error. First, you must find these elements. You can find them from the display group tool in the visualization module. Second, you must change the seeding size or change the partitioning strategy. Finally, you must rerun the model to check whether the error is resolved or not. If you didn't resolve the error, you can contact me to use our consultancy service to resolve this error.

Hi. Are you talking about the mesh of the reverse extrusion problem ?? I mean that special kind of mesh which prevent excessive distortion.

@@vincenttong7698 As the geometry is axisymmetric, there is no need to do the modelling in the 3D space unless there are some issues which disturb the symmetry. I can create a comprehensive tutorial for you which includes the procedure of creating this mesh in a step by step manner from beginning to end in the axisymmetric space.
