Thanks for the clear guidance. But i would assign the geometrical imperfection to concrete as well. Since it is in practice casted into an imperfect tube.

Hi, nice to see your video and follow your instruction. However, I have a problem when the last step of your video. When I try to run the program, the error said "MAKE SURE YOU SPECIFIED THE CORRECT FILENAME WITHOUT THE EXTENSION. FILENAMES ARE CASE SENSITIVE ON CASE SENSITIVE OPERATING SYSTEMS." Even though I had put the file.fil in the right place. Thank you

Hi, Firstly, you should make sure that the all your files are in a same directory (check File -> Set work dorectory) Secondly, the file name of *.fil should be the name of job file you created, remember to check your keywork editor, there is no ".fil" and be careful with commas Hope it will help

I saw that in the last steps you add the residual stress to the model using keywords through the commands: "*INITIAL CONDITIONS, TYPE=STRESS Set of elements, initial stress value xx, initial stress value yy, initial stress value zz, …" Could you explain to me if, after defining the orientations for the Set, the value -77.9 (would this be the value resulting from equations 7 and 8 of the old one mentioned in the comments?) applies to the entire element in the correct directions or was it just an example?

My model consists of solid elements and my residual stress varies linearly. So I would really appreciate your help on how to give this linear variation of residual stress?

For linear variation of stress through thickness of shell elements, a subroutine written by fortran should be used (SIGNI), you can google it

I tried doing as you said in the video, but I'm getting an error message as ' An initial condition has been specified on element 0 but this element has not defined" . How can I solve this error. Please reply immediately 🙏

it means that you did not define the element set properly

Cái này có thể do lỗi hao tác khi em làm, anh không xem file em làm nên không rõ, em thử mô hình lại xem sao
