After taking some time to digest recent events, I wanted to leave this comment to say thank you to all who left positive comments of congratulations and well wishes. I especially want to say thank you to Dylan and the sponsors for putting on such an awesome giveaway. I also wanted to share some of the details of our experience and update those who may be wondering where we are at with the process and what our intentions are with the Thunderbird. How we found out: I was relaxing last Sunday evening watching this video. I was so surprised to hear my name as the winner that I laughed out loud, and immediately gathered my family to show them the video. I had not told anyone I had even entered this giveaway because like most, I never win anything! After everyone watched the video, you could hear the excitement in all our voices as I explained to them in detail what was going on. Our laughter and cheering only escalated as the reality of what was happening sank in! That night I contacted Dylan and the next day we began working out some details. Currently: Dylan and Hemmings are working together on the details for transporting the Thunderbird to us. Our intentions: To allow my son Cody to express himself in whatever direction his style may take him, within reason of course. We are starting with a small budget and no intentions of a full restoration. We hope to have this car for a long time to come. If we don’t do anything but clean the inside, make a few repairs, or just put it on the road as is, all that will matter is that we do it together. I would like to document our time together working on the Thunderbird as I think it would be a great way to preserve the memories we make. We will do our best at attempting to do this but I do not want to make that a promise. I fully intend on staying in touch with Dylan and updating him on where we are at, I feel that is the least we can do. To Dylan: I could not be more thankful to you as since we have found out about the Thunderbird, I can already feel Cody’s and my relationship growing. Our conversations usually start with a question or comment about the Thunderbird and transitions into other topics. We haven’t turned a wrench or even sat inside the car yet and the purpose for my entry is already sprouting roots. I can’t wait to have the Thunderbird at our house to get started making more memories! We too are proud to share in your belief in our lord and savior. We pray he will guide us through life in the direction too best serve him as I feel he is doing with you. We pray for God to continue his blessing over each one of us and to bless you for your loving generosity! Thank you again and may God bless you!

Congrats! I just found this video last night. It peaked my interest as soon as I saw it. I had one the same color when I graduated high school in 1987. Loved the car, but actually didn’t know much about cars ( still don’t). But me and my buddies would get in there and figure most everything that popped up with it. Great car! Would love to see how it comes out.
Whoever gets that car will be truly blessed. You've done wonderfully with it
After hearing his story, I'm no longer a sore loser. They will make so many happy memories with the thunderbird.
Dylan, Thank you for your profession of faith! Bless you for doing that!
So much better to give than receive! Great testimony. Keep it up...till the whole world hears.
Congrats, Kirk. Sounds like this will make for a great bonding experience for you and your son. Solid thing for you to do, Mr McCool.
I had that exact car, as a 77 Mercury Cougar. It was pink. I buffed it out and it was fire engine red.

I STILL own the 77 mercury Cougar XR7 my dad bought new. It’s not a daily driver, but I keep it roadworthy. It’s a lot of fun to take out.
My brother and I just picked up a 1978 T bird, dark brown, 351W engine. only 96k miles and documented oil changes up until 1991 from the original owner. Runs great, no smoke, no noise from engine. $2300.
When you started Kirk's story I said to myself "I like where this is going". A slam dunk no brainer winner. A great opportunity to allow the love of cars to continue. Well done.
What a great video. The guy who won the car will be so appreciative and the car will go to a good home. Great promotion!
You Chose the Correct Winner for that T-Bird. Touching to hear you tell that story, Keep up the Honest KZread.
Pleased to see a few of my favorite YT creators rebuilding and donating vehicles for others in need. Shows special consideration and concern for others who may not otherwise be as blessed. Pay it forward…
Congratulations Kirk Clint on the Win Brother enjoy the Thunderbird with your kiddos
Great episode Dylan. Congratulations to Kirk Flint! Have fun working on this fine T-Bird!
God bless you. You are a genuine man.
You are a blessing to the world Dylan. Thank you so much for holding this contest. You picked a great, deserving winner and I can't wait to hear the next winner's story. Looking forward to the next video and will keep an eye out for another contest. God bless you.
That is a very compelling story and could not think of a more deserving person for that car
Another Awesome Video. You are such an Inspiration, and this is coming from someone who is almost 72 years old. I Love the CB antenna also.....Period correct........God Bless you Young man.......
Gday all, Australian fella here. I used Rock Auto for my XM Falcon (1964) as most parts are interchangeable with the ‘marican Falcon. Even with postage to Australia, I got a lot of stuff with my small budget… by the way, Love the Thunderbird. 🤙🏼🇦🇺
Hey Dylan. It’s nice to see a young guy that doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. That’s hard to come by these days.

@Mike Fleming, et al, I would be into repairing vehicles myself if a. I was rich, b. I could lift heavy things, and c. did not have so many mental and developmental issues in my life which kind of prevent me from driving.
Good job getting this old thunderbird safe to drive and giving it away. Sounds like the man who won it has a great plan for it.
Fine Job Dylan, It is better to give than to recieve. God Bless.
Congratulations Kirk. Cheers Dylan, you're dinky dye salt of the earth mate, God bless you.
I am not even remotely a mechanic past the most simplest things like oil change, tire rotation, or possibly brakes as long as they're disk brakes. Oh and maybe change a battery, or light bulb that are extremely easy to access. But i absolutely enjoy watching you work on these vehicles that you aquire and restore.
Gonna make a great project for him and his son! Really liked his story! So happy you did this giveaway!!

That's a meaningfull giveaway!
I remember my grandpa had one of these old thunderbirds but it was a gold color. Brings back memories.
I had a 76 Monte Carlo as my first car. All of those body styles from GM and Ford were solid as a rock and drove great. I'd have loved to have put in for the contest but someone with some more spare time than me can make that thing shine like a new dime.
Sweet ride, You are reliving my father's car history. He had that same era T'bird that he traded for his 78 Cobra II ... my mom loved the Tbird and Hated the cobra. Cheers!

Dylan when is your next video
Reminds me of my 74 T-Bird getting a 460 transplant because my Ex said it couldn't get out of its own way with the 351W. After putting in the 460 she spun it off the road. I think that's why she's my Ex...lol. So that motor was yanked from wrecked T-Bird, rebuilt by me by hand, and installed in 77 Cougar with 76 FBI Grand Torino suspension and 9" rear end with Danny O'Day rebuilt C-6. I've never had so much fun with a car. The local PD's would watch for smoke columns in the evening sky's. Rear tires bought from junkyards. My two sons loved being in the trunk during burn outs. Those were the days. That 460 still lives in a local lawn service guys F-250 as of 2020!
Alternative title: Polishing a Turd
I LIKE THE THUNDERBIRD YOU DID A GREAT JOB ON IT AND YES I'M A FAN , AWESOME JOB 🤗
I really miss my 77 Town Landau. I rebuilt the engine and she gave me great service. Nice ride and I loved that bench seat. Your video gives me great memories.
Holy moly…what a long winded plea for an old beater..
You have a great heart, Dylan. I love your sincerity in your faith.
I’m not surprised at all that you could still get parts for this car. I had one of these in the late 80’s and parts for it were everywhere cause this car was SOOOO common.
What up! Thought I’d share a childhood memory about my uncles 1979 Thunderbird… My older cousin at the time was 10 and when my uncle would pick us up from school my cousin Sid while getting in the backseat of the Thunderbird would say “I am not an Elephant, I am an automobile!” I’ll never forget it, it was in the early 80’s and to this day epitomizes those Thunderbirds! Enormous mix of Disco and Hotel Bar Longe. Please don’t take me wrong, I respect all makes and models but as the Thunderbird nameplate goes these years fell along the lines of the Cordoba Chargers and I won’t even get into the L body Chargers… (I’ve got a soft spot for FWD Turbo Mopars! 😉) Keep up the awesome content!! 👍👍👍👍
Did an E assist power steering rack on my 2010 Fusion..parts from Rock Auto..half the price of local shops (reman). Very fast service( 2 days) and core return..I have nothing but good words for them!
Congrats Kirk (or Curt, which ever one that is) and Cody! I hope you have a lot of smiles per mile on your new adventure!

They don't deserve it if you ask me
Congratulations 🍾 I hope you and your son spend many hours bonding together with this classic.
D-Mac.... You're a good egg! Really enjoy your positive attitude.
Love the roadrunner sat in the rain. Awesome build Dylan
Congrats to the winner. I hope they keep it as original as possible. That car is a modern classic and it deserves originality.
Congratulations to the winner of the Ford, and a huge Thank You to Dylan for giving it to you!!👍👍👍
Wow the underside of the floor pan still has red paint that's impressive looking at the state of the gad tank and everything else @12:58 @Dylan McCool
Drum brake tool makes it a little less of a pain.love the show
loved watching this come back to life and the kind way you passed it on. I have the sister car to this T-Bird, a 1977 Ford LTD II Sport. Been rebuilding it for the past several years and watching you do the brakes cleared up some questions I had. Great video and paying it forward! God Bless you are a good man!
Good for repacking and replacing bearings while doing brakes and rotors, standard 70s maintenance.
Great work done on that American 🇺🇸 classic land yacht, Mr McCool. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦.
Such a motivational story! I’m so happy this went to that father and son. May God Bless you and the fine job you’re doing.
That was a very special video Dylan you are a very good man 👍 my friend a very good kind soul. I'm so happy that they won the car and I hope it brings them a lot of joy. I love big full framed cars I have a 78 Cadillac coupe DeVille I inherited from my great uncle in 1997 he passed away in 96 I miss him for sure I never will forget seeing him drive it through town that white hair and his huge man hands he had massive hands I still can feel his pats on my shoulder he was a house builder back in his day and a world war 11 veteran. I have always loved big cars and I put it in the garage and never hardly drove it I use to take my grandma to the Dr in it but she passed away in 01 I was with her when she passed away she was praying 🙏 she was 96 years old now all my family is gone now except for my two brothers I never had kids so I'm not sure what I will do with it for sure but hopefully I'll Last a few more years yet it's got twenty three thousand miles on it..I hope you have a wonderful blessed day my friend 🙏 god bless you and your family are my sincere prayers 🙏
Perfect decision! Congratulations Kirk! I don't know if you'll read this but I just restored my old truck for my little boy. We did the project together.. still working on it. I hope you and Cody have many days and nights spent laughing and bonding over this car. It's an experience that when he's older he'll never ever forget
A friend of mine bought one of these brand new in 77 and it drove like a dream! It was dove gray and just beautiful 💕
You would not believe how much a good set of brake tools can change your outlook on changing drum brakes. Right tool for the right job and all that. Thanks for the great content.
Hi Dylan I really enjoy watching you bring these cars back to life thank you for sharing your videos👍🏿
Congrats, you made someone a very happy person.... You do a amazing job on all the cars you bring back to life..
Great story and great to see this big bird fly again!
Good deal I'm glad this father and this young man won the tbird god bless you Dylan for making there dreams come true we need more people like you on this earth my friend .
You're a true Gentleman Dylan. I always find your approach to your content, Your Presentation and demeanour really quite calming and inspiring. Your kindness to others and how you pass on that kindness really does remind me to try harder myself and don't let stress take over too much. You're an inspiration to many without a doubt.
Congratulations to the winner! Hope it will strengthen your bond with your son!
Congratulations Kirk to you an your son , so my friend , I pray you an your son enjoy this classic ford T bird for many many yrs to come , be safe out an God bless yall an God bless the T Bird for all time
Great story. Hope the winner keeps us posted on the Bird and joy him and his son have.
Well done, Dylan, lots of good structure in that ol bird. That 400 can be woken up without alot of parts, straighten out the body panels, etc. They are tough cars.
Great Story! and congratulations to Kirk on winning the car couldnt have gone to a more deserving Person hope you and Cody have a good time tinkering with your "New" 77 Thunderbird!! Loved the stoty! Dylan what a great give a way that is why I watch your channel!
Jullie doen het geweldig 🤩👍💫 Groetjes uit Holland 🥰👋🏼👋🏼🌹🌹🌹
Just wanted to say this is such a neat project to see. My high school choir teacher's husband has a 1977 T-Bird that he's had I think since it was new or slightly used. He drove it to work every day until he retired in recent years. It's always been garaged and he made sure to keep the road salt off it as much as possible. There was just one little blemish of rust that kept trying to occur on an unusual spot but he kept it covered. It has a 351 and in the 1990's it had a very slight knock until the engine was warm. He babied that engine and it lasted him into the early 2000's when he finally had it rebuilt. He's also had it completely restored and it still looks and runs great. This makes me think of that car.
Howdy Dylan! You say you're a big fan of those nice classic luxury cruisers. Well, that makes two of us! I'm 31 and drive a 1989 Lincoln Town Car that still turns heads and gets me compliments. Guys my age typically don't seek that type of car but I'm happy with mine and I love it. I love the smooth ride it gives!
Standing up for Christ at the end of the video was a bold thing to do in a world full of hate. Proud of you brother👍🏻
You picked the right winner! I wish him the best and make alot of memories and remember to have fun!
I was brought home from the hospital after being born in a brand new 1977 Ford Thunderbird. It was a pale yellow and had a brown interior. My mother kept it for a few years... until my father decided to trade it in for a Plymouth Reliant K. Talk about a HUGE downgrade.

I have a 78 Thunderbird that's painted french Vanilla with a brown top and interior It's a pretty nice car but I never drive it!
Loved it! Keep doing what you are doing. Having three sons myself, I understand the desire to find something to bond over. Keep up the good work!
Nice to see an unloved car. Get some love. These cars have a great profile.
Great story, I hope it brings his son and him closer.
Nice polish up Dylan and work bringing back the basics, you have great attention for detail on what matters. Congrats to the father of 3 on the new ride!
Congratulations Kurt enjoy that bonding time with your son!
Dylan, you are inspirational to the youth of America! Hard work always pays off!
Congrats to winner and great video Dillon , great story and what a cruiser for a young feller !
Great choice for the thunderbird, touching story of father and son
Great series, Dylan. Thank you for reaching out to others.
Loved the disco music during the wax job. Very appropriate for this Thunderbird's era.
That Thunder-Chicken will make a great 1st car for the boy. I applaud the father for recognizing it as a good bonding project and wish him the best of luck.
You're a good man, Dylan. Great choice on your contest winner. Best channel on KZread. Take care.
I am glad it went to someone that could share it with their child! I hope it become the car of his dreams!
Thank you for all your work and Generosity to others. I would be interesting to do a follow up with Curt in the future to show what he and his Son do with the car.
Lots of memories there. My first car was a 2 door ‘77 LTD II with a 351. She would fly.
Glad you mentioned Christ it nice to hear in todays world keep the faith love you brother
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide} AND ooo weee fun!!!!
Dylan, you inspire me! Great work on ALL of your revivals.
I love those old Thunderbirds, would have loved to have entered the draw but I guessed shipping to the UK would be an issue! Sounds like its going to a good home, I hope Kirk and Cody enjoy it, maybe in a couple of years he could visit you and we could see him driving it around! Its lovely to hear a dad wanting to have something to share with his kid
Gabriel Kelly was a great find. Thanks Dylan. Hes in my Pandora
Great video Mr stool! You can use any parts you want. Walmart harbor freight. He only uses free parts.
Congrats Kirk! and congrats Cody! and congrats Dylan! That was a heck of a confluence of goodwill and hope! Work it!
your winner Choice is spot on it must have been very hard sorting all the applicants good job
What a great story, sounds like it's going to the right person. Can we get a follow up in the future, would be great to hear what they do with this car.
Congratulations to the Kirk and his son cody.i hope they have a great time working on this cool project.Great video Dylan very cool 👍🇦🇺
All that work just to give it away to a fellow human. You're a good egg Dylan. Never change who you are!
That is the thing about the old paints, you could bring it back! Now the clear coat just fails and flakes off (of neglected paint) so you have to sand and redo.
Congratulations to Kirk Flint. 👍
Uncle Buck called, he wants his car back. In all seriousness, I'm glad you rescued this old gem, I love malaise era cars.
Wow.. Deserving young man.
I'm glad the Thunder ⚡ Bird is going to someone who will appreciate the work you put into it Dylan and also appreciate the Great Car she is and not drive it into the ground. I hope you do a follow up with them at a later date so we can see the improvements. God bless you Dylan you are a good man.
