Also we're is this track at
1st car with the '69 plate was a 1959 Oldsmobile. 2nd car you showed the emblem on was an upside down 1958 Olds. Light blue 59 Ford Galaxy 4 door. The upside down red one is a 1962 Chevy. the "Perth speedway" car is a 1956 Chevy. Red and blue pick up cab is a 53-55 Ford so you got that one right! The car after the one full of water is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air but very smashed! next one is "HELL DRIVER." The "Ford" with the "Ford dealer" sticker is a 1956 Plymouth Belvedere sedan. Your favorite car is a 1954 Chrysler Windsor Deluxe. And you were right about the next one, mid 1960's Chevy Corvair, motor was in the back and was air-cooled like a VW. They were famous for rolling over. The last one by the "101" car looked like a late 40's early 50's Merc on it's side. So sad!

To be completely honest, that's my dream right there. To find old cars on an abandoned racetrack. I've rode through sand pits in Rangely Maine and found old earth mover dump trucks and stuff just left there. Nice video though! Happy you took the time and make it and post it!
Great video! My brothers raced at that track in the 50s (we came from Maine to race there. It was a wild place in it's day) Guys dukeing it out at the side of the track while the race was going on! You should a been there! LOL

The car at 31:18 is definitely a Chevy Corvair since the fuel filler door & trunk are at the font of the car. The engine was mounted at the rear of the car & was a flat 6-cylinder engine.
Awesome. Thanks for taking us round this old race track. It was really interesting seeing the old cars. I was looking the race track up on google as I was watching your video. Can't wait to see more.
Hunting, fishing and loving every day, keep reelin' em' in, nice time capsule of history buddy
Awsome video 440! Hey keep making video's like this, I'm looking forward to part2. Here in Kentucky I found an old farm with cars from the 30's to the 50's abandoned in the woods in a valley along with tons of parts and junk. Sink holes are another place people liked to throw their junk. Thumbs up,I subscribe

jim ogle I recommend the Cannon power shot A2600. Its what I'm currently using, sure its not the best but it gets the job done. I bought mine off Newegg for 80 dollars plus the shipping. I would like to get a go pro camera but they are like 300 dollars and that is without the mounts and other gadgets to go with it.

Thank's for taking us along. At one point I was thinking that the place needs to be cleared of all the debris but as it went on I feel like Mother Nature will do it plus all old race cars deserve a resting place. Just too bad people feel a need to go all the way in the woods to drop off old shingles and such though. Hope they stepped on a nail or got a few in their tires doing it. Keep on keeping on. We're watching and I subscribed!

That was pretty cool!....I was visiting some past days of old Nascar races and such, and then I ran across this video, which took me on a 38min. adventure! Don't worry about winning the race in subscribers! Just be yourself and have fun at doing your videos, if that's what you want to do.....I know I enjoyed it! Once you had gotten started, I knew I'd have to finish watching it all the way through, just to see what happened....you kept me on the edge of suspense.....That was GREAT!
Cool. Now get out there and ask the property owner if they would mind if you cleared it for them. Take it to the junk yard to be melted and then thank me for getting you a lot of money lol. If I owned it I would try to find some old engine to rebuild or some other salvageable stuff. Stuff like that is worth a good deal. Example take an emblem clean it up put it on ebay and someone will need it to finish their project.
@EasternExplorer

As I've mentioned before the owner of this track is really attached to his junk and he's already mentioned he wants nothing taken, that is why I state in the video look but don't touch. He is not the kind of man you want to cross because he likes to shoot first and ask questions later, I've been on the bad side before it wasn't that fun, that had to do with ATV doughnuts on his dirt road...And although I did pick up that orange trail tape, no its not the same as removing entire cars. Some pieces would be savable though like trim and some glass door handles, emblems as you mentioned but the old iron engine blocks I doubt would be savable, 40 years of harsh Canadian winters take there toll. Thanks for leaving the comment and thanks for watching.

The440plymouth Ahh gottcha. Yeah I know the type. Those people hang on to stuff and let it go to shit rather than being somewhat generous and allow someone else to take it and do something amazing with it. Didn't realize it was Canada. I live in NY. Salt and sand does a number to any iron so I get what your saying. Though it would be cool to find a salvageable engine and make it run again. Thanks for sharing the video.

At that old camp it looked like they had an animal, maybe a pack animal?, with that makeshift corral and water trough all fallen apart like that. +Michael McDonald I can give you a general area but not the exact place as the owner has requested it not to be released to the public. He doesn't want anything removed from the area and he's a bit crazy, he likes to shoot his guns and then ask questions... So if you ever do find the area I highly recommend you get permission be for entering. I have a long standing agreement with the owner which allows me to cross his land regularly but I live here so it may be different for outsiders. So the general area is Victoria County, New Brunswick, Canada.

I bought a 1967 Wagoneer from a salvage yard about 15 years ago. I think the owner died and his widow donated it and it ended up at salvage. The Yard owner bought it at auction as he recognized it, remembered walking past it to school as a kid. I welded new panels in, repaired some mechanical things and still drive it. I think the old owner would be pleased if he knew it were still being driven. I have my late grandma's 70 Ford Falcon, all original with 31,000 miles, my wife just bought a 76 Mercedes 450SL for me from a friend's 90 year old aunt...she told me the story of visiting the factory, driving the car in Germany for 2 weeks before having it shipped over. I somewhat know the history or part of the history of all 13 of my cars, some collector, some daily drivers. I find it interesting to hear stories from the former owners I bought them from or research...

A new car in the 60's could be bought for under $3000. People bought a new car every 3 years. You could buy a used car for next to nothing. Maybe you'd earn $50 per week, but gas was probably like 20 cents a gallon. Today, almost nobody pays cash for a car, they run them 7 to 10 years, I've never owned a new car, probably never will. Back then, everything was made in the USA, manufacturing jobs were plentiful, we had a trade surplus, college was affordable, our leaders have sold us out. Both parties.
@amblt1
8 жыл бұрын
It's the consumers who sold out. If every North American had insisted on domestic retail goods in ALL things, the economy of scale would have made a big difference. I'm not sure we could have stopped the events which happened, but certainly delayed them appreciably.
I lke your little show you have. I think a lot of car guys would like it ..

I could name every car there in person. The " Ford" is a 56 Plymouth bought at a dealer that sold Fords and IH trucks. Must have been bought used.

hey,,thanks for the neat video I enjoy seeing forgotten places,automobiles,
U did a great job, I bet that place was thumping in its hayday . Super video !!!
get you an old flat bed 1 ton truck and a set of tourches and go in there and make a fortune cutting all the junk up and take it to a junk yard, nothing like free salvage money. looks like it would take a long time to get all the junk, and make some quick cash.

yep! :-) Funny how some folks think this stuff is there for the taking, huh? Free salvage money, all ya gotta do is steal it from someone else! Obviously these comments come from those who don't own property. Thanks for sharing the video man.

Well said. I have an understanding with many property owners to cross their land, Some agreements more strict then others but I can't complain at least they let me in. I would be the first to speak up if I noticed something has gone missing. It only takes one bad experience with a property owner and then they spread that around the community.

yes the thieves are part of the reason property owners are reluctant to let strangers on their land. I dunno why but I have noticed in the past few years this idea of "abandoned" has gotten all screwed up, especially among younger people. Seems they think if no one live in a house or on a piece of property, then everything there is free for the taking. I've even heard kids say that "no one owns that old house". Lol, someone owns them all!

Macabre Artist He is well aware infact he is laughing at you people talking about the tape like its a big deal. Like stealing a tiny piece plastic is comparable to an entire car, lol
u should have taken a toe truck there u would have made loads of dollor 💲💲💲💲

***** I totally built a time machine and traveled back 60 years to the 1950's and then I collected all these cars and then I loaded them all into my time machine and traveled back to 2014. After having a smoke break I loaded everything back up into the time machine and traveled back 100 years to 1914 where I strategically placed all of these cars on and around this race track. And then I traveled to 2015 in my time machine so I could write this comment response. AND I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AWAY WITH IT IF IT WASN'T THAT MEDDLING KIM JONG-UN.
