I attended this school in 1970 and 1971 for 7th and 8th grade. The steps side of the school was where the school buses came. I walked to school so I came up the other side of the school. In the winter we used to make human chains to pull each other up the red brick hill that turned to red brick ice, lol. That hill was sick.

I went to school here for about 3 years. A few of my uncles went here when it was the high school. I have been inside a few different times exploring, before KZread was really a thing lol. Anytime we had friends form out of town visit they always wanted me to take them to the school. We went with a group of friends on Halloween shortly after the body was found and tried to make contact. Was a interesting night to say the least. I wish I could get in now that there is more paranormal equipment available. I know of a few different "Stories" about this place. I do have some pictures from 1 or 2 times inside. By the way, Its been a long time Wallie, Good to see you.

I give you an A ++++++-+ for this video. If you are unsure about something don't do it, and don't risk getting hurt. I'm sure they is a way to get in. Very curious to see what they are doing to this building. "Luxury" housing (as they have done to a bunch of abandoned schools in my county. Or a private or charter or Monsorri (SP?) school. Or restarting as a school, since so many public schools are so overcrowded now: the kids whose parents can't afford private school or don't win the lottery for charter schools (this was me growing up, though I went to a public admission only college prep high school where they worked you to death to get you into college. Very competitive and every exhausting, have an ulcer to prove it. Love you are changing up what you film. With your respect for abandoned hopefully someone in the town sees this video and asks you to come back and film inside.

After Stowe merged with Mc Kees Rocks in 1966, they turned this school into the middle school. It was used for 7th and 8th grade. I went there in 1969 and 1970. The bus would drop us off at the bottom of the steps and we would walk up the steps every day for school. The place was Big, and old back then. They should renovate this building and turn it into a prison.

I want to this school back in the early 70s. Had “Deadeye” Nemick for homeroom. It was an architectural masterpiece inside and out. The grand steps and terraces leading up from Chartiers Ave., a giant flagpole guiding your way to the top. The giant windows were all clear glass with the bottom panes able to open. The views were incredible. The rooms were huge with high ceilings. We had corporal punishment back then. Lots of paddling going on! If that didn’t work, they’d threaten to call your parent(s); and THAT always worked! But we got an education. A good one. And none of the girls had a penis.
