As I watch the video of this abandoned home, My heart breaks as to what happened to this family and why they left everything behind. It goes to show that you never know how we will end up one day. One day things are good and the next day we can fall on hard times and tragedies. Wherever this family is or whatever happened...may God bless them. Thanks Adam for caring about the families of these abandoned homes. God bless you all.🙏🏾

There is a very strong chance that the family could of been killed in some sort of accident because no one would just up and leave everything behind when it's all worth a lot of money and personal items as well.

The teal-colored "Previewer" was used to view colored slides. Slides were more popular than photos in the 1970's. You used the Previewer to select the best from the slides made from special slide film, and then load the best into a slide canister that you mounted onto a projector. Slides were used in this way in all college and medical school classrooms up until the recently when digital photos replaced slides. A "slide show" was looking at all of the 50 slides on the canister.

The “Previewer” is for looking at slides. The front glass magnifies the image and usually, they have a light or clear glass to allow light in behind the slide.

It's a shame about the china. I think the cups, etc., with the roses on, are Royal Albert - and that stuff is expensive, especially vintage pieces like those ! Too bad they can't be saved, but I understand the reasoning behind your policy of 'leaving as is'. Another great explore, Adam.

Most times the valuables they take are not as valuable as what they leave. For example Mark walked past something that is of value but if you don’t know it you would miss it. It is looked upon as pretty but that’s it. You have to know to know it is of value.

While they have left a lot of stuff, which cost good money at the time, they tend to be worth not a lot today - it's old stuff and unless you're lucky enough to find a vintage item collector, then all stuff just goes to the tip. It would be interesting if somebody who has watched this and knew the family, and what happened to them, could produce a video to let us know as it seems like a house frozen in time with a tragic family history?

Ah, as a bartender of many years, I know that bottle @23:35 right away! That's Galliano! A sweet liquor from Italy that's just as popular today and still found on most bar shelves worldwide. It sells in the exact same tall, thin glass bottle and is still that bright distinctive, yellow color! Only the label has been updated - making this bottle vintage! It's used as a mixer - in a Harvey Wallbanger or on its own as an apertif. If you're lucky, you can find it sold in a gift box with a unique stand and apertif glasses. Those odd crystal (usually stemmed) glasses - with a wide base that only hold 3 or 4oz oz - great apertif glassware.

Oh my word!!, you have to wonder who would find the need to just abandon ship during Christmas!!, not a thing packed , you'd have thought there would have been signs of packing had bankruptcy been the issue...really odd. We had a bakerlite phone like that in the 60's🙂...anyway, whoever they were or are now, I hope they've a better run of luck. Thanks for this Adam, always interesting, x

Hi Adam, I look forward to seeing your videos every Sunday, they make a boring day more bearable, I love the respect you show, pity more people can’t be like that. It was such a shame that the house has been left in such a state, I wonder if the husband died first and the wife couldn’t cope and maybe got moved into a nursing home? That said though, doesn’t explain where any children/grandchildren may be. I also love the music in the video,it gave it such an atmosphere vibe. All in all another banger! So thank you and see you next week, take care❤😊👍🏻xx

23:20 the pre viewer was a small hand held gadget to view slides ( transparencies) it saved getting the big old projector unit and white screen out . This way you could quickly view your holiday snaps

My Dad was also born in 1927! This has been a wonderful place you have found. I'm loving these ghostless videos, much better with just the explore, I've really enjoyed this, like your early videos too. Hope we get more of these. 👍😊 Until next time!
