That place must be rotten inside lol, been closed for over a decade

My late grandfather worked for Bristow’s and had a membership for the swimming pool / spa facilities at the hotel, He learned me to swim here and I spent many of happy memories from the early 90s until his retirement in 1999, very sad to see it gone now 😢

Got married here in October 2017 the hotel had just been done up and made a double tree some great memories here such a shame it’s gone

The old Treetops Hotel , who remembers the Croft at the weekend and all the brilliant live music. 🎸

Me and my mum used to swim in the pool there, and she'd go in the sauna! Very nostalgic :)

My school prom was in there and I've used that swimming pool a few times.

How sad was my first job as a porter when I was still at school

Was there for my college graduation ceremony in Oct 2019. Patio hotel will probably be next to go.

As of this morning it is now demolished up to the bit where you can make out the old Doubletree logo

@@ukurbex3995 looks like the function suites were gone by time you got there but still 50% left. I'd say about 30 now. Sad to see. My friends and I had a memorable Christmas party in 2009 in the big function suite. I remember having drinks in the small bar near the start of the video. Also went to a football dinner and used the pool once before. Was once the best hotel in Aberdeen

Exploring with Alec does a great explorer of there and I'm sure it was only months after the closure !! Putting 2 and 2 together and reading between the lines I wonder if there is more value in the land being redeveloped than running it as a hotel ??

Deffo as it’s a great location for housing so it’s deffo been pulled down for that reason

The Hilton Double Tree at the beach is closed too so expect that going down next.

I'm still in disbelief. This was the legendary Treetops hotel.

I worked in the treetops from 1990 to1999. We should have a reunion. If any one is I terested please reply

I have photos inside the places before it got completely taken down I was one of the first people to get in

@@ukurbex3995 it was an Aberdeen institution. Weird to think this time last year it was hosting Xmas parties as normal and a year later it wouldn't exist

@@Mouse2113 yeah it so strange to think that wedding and Xmas party’s were there last year and now it’s just rubble the fact the pool and spa is gone too just shows you all money that’s been and gone on the building
