Abandoned for Christmas | Southern Home Left Behind right before the Holidays..
Ойын-сауық
Christmas time should be a time for family and friends to get together and appreciate one another. But for this family divorce would sadly cause them to abandoned their home in the middle of setting up Christmas decorations. This early 1900s home was lived in by a family of 5 and was left behind in the year 2015. Due to unknown circumstances everything was unfortunately left behind inside of the home. Hopefully one day the Christmas spirit will flow through this home again. But for now it sits in silence. Let’s take a look inside and Merry Christmas everyone!

I went to a house like this in Georgia. I did some research and found out the mother died on her way to work 6 months earlier. She left behind six kids. She drove into a river during a heavy rain. Looks like the kids stayed until the marshall evicted them.

I live in Spartanburg South Carolina. We have tons of homes like this , sadly a lot of them are abandoned and some are destroyed from vandals , weather and just old age. But a lot are still very much still able to be lived in. It’s nice seeing someone spread the beauty these homes have to offer. I actually live in a old mill home that was built in 1890. And I freaking love if.

Sad, I went to SC for my sons Marine graduation and I felt in love with the área. Many places old fashioned and we stopped at a gas station also old fashioned and the owner was seating down outside waiting for customers to fill up the tanks, very friendly.

Cool house! I hope someone buys it, keeps the antiques, fixes it up, and turns it from a sad, lonely house to a happy full one with love in it. And DOESN'T paint the woodwork!! Thanks, and Merry Christmas, BBZ! 🎄
This looks like an elderly folks home, not a divorce case. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.
I’ve always wondered if someone watched a video like this and recognized the people in the photographs or the house itself…

That house must have been beautiful at one time. It is so sad that it was abandoned. Thank you.
Most older homes do have large dinning rooms and or kitchens it was the heart of the home most spent more time at table then living room.
I am always shocked how people just walk away from all their belongings. It’s just mind boggling to me.
Does anyone actually know why the family left? I guess I missed something. It’s sad. This house could be made into a gorgeous place again. Every home has a backstory.

That calico cat was a popular hobby back in the early 1970s, possibly the late 1960s. They weren't sold like that anywhere- you would have to make the cat body with plaster of Paris, or buy the cat from someone who made the bodies, the cut pieces of calico fabric and apply the pieces on with Mod Podge. I never had one, but always wanted one. Many people used them for door stops.

Love that bead board by the stairway & the Newell post and railings and hardwood floors are so neat in these older homes. The craftsmanship of yesterday was amazing! Ya don’t see it in homes of today
Cool architecture Great video. Sad that it was left around Christmas time under whatever circumstances. It’s a shame it’ll just get totally neglected and have to be torn down. I hope you had a great Christmas and an epic new year to come! Love from me 💜🤟🏻😎⛄️❄️🇺🇸

Merry Christmas. Thank you for sharing this video with us.
Amazing home. The “crystals” you saw in the basket were actually marble chess pieces. Probably had a marble game board to go with it that got broken, lost or stolen. They were popular back in the 1980-90s
I love this house and I love Christmas. It is sad to see everything left behind. When I saw the Auburn jacket I thought yes someone was an Auburn fan. I live 20 miles from Auburn but I'm an Alabama fan but our son and his family are big AU fans. I noticed a blue/red hat upstairs with an A on it that is a Atlanta Braves hat. Thank you so much for sharing this I do love seeing these old houses.
Beautiful house hope someone can fix it up I also loved the cat 😺😺 and car 🚗 in the box so many vintage things left behind. Those old doors are cool to see, thank you for sharing and Merry Christmas and Happy NEW YEAR TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY
💜💜💜 If I had a choice I'd buy that house instead of a newer one. Love the old houses.

There seems that something wrong happened here. Not just a divorce. I’m thinking a welfare case where either elderly were taken out or the kids. And someone probably got arrested for not taking care of someone. That’s why everything is still there. It was abandoned on 2015 but had stuff in the cabinet that expired in 2005? There’s more to this story in my opinion.

Stephen Kings Sleeping Beauties is a newish book by him. It came out in 2017. I collect his books and lived seeing all of them and all the rest of the books. Keep doing what your doing
The old grates & floors & moldings are always interesting I think , especially in older homes
The reason the windows are so big is because back in the early days there was no AC so the windows would usually be almost the entire floor to ceiling for air circulation I WANT this house

Aw what a beautiful home.
From the looks of this house I would say an elderly woman lived there and passed away. The bedrooms were probably her kids that had left home. Those Nike's look like they were from the mid to late 1900's or early 2000. I think this house has been abandoned a lot longer than you think

Wow, beautiful house but so sad 😢
Neat transom windows above the doors, you are probably too young to remember those , but before AC they were great for ventilation & air flow
Maybe the person that lived here died and no one was left or cares about the place. A good assumption is that the person was elderly, or sickly. Or it could be that there were 2 or 3 younger people lived here and all eventually left.

Hard to believe municipalities allow homes to remain abandoned to deteriorate....in busy neighborhoods. My city and county have annual property auctions preventing such blight. Such huge differences per state and local governments. Small kitchen, large dining room. Not unusual for the time it was built. They had good taste as per the red and blue Tupperware pull apart toy teaching shapes. lol
