You boys are a blessing. It's wonderful to be able to let my younger grandchildren watch your videos with me without having to worry about foul nasty language. You're very respectful and kind. You appreciate the loss that some families have gone through. You never make fun of people's junk or belongings. You set a wonderful example for other explorers and those of us watching. Your parents can be very proud of you. God bless and protect you and yours. Thank you.

yesitsmeh because Belgian children are well raised .... Most Belgian youth are really respectful, they respect properties who doesn't belongs to them ...they respect the environment most. By keeping our trash in a bin wherever we are like in the park, the bus stop, market places or open places there is always trash bins anywhere and if we couldn't find bins ..we are keeping our trash and throw it at our bins at home ... We respect people's rights .. And if there are Belgians who are rude or disrespectful ... They are not true Belgian in origin ... They might born here in Belgium ... But their genes are not Belgians ... Their parents are immigrants and they were raised through their immigrant parents culture ..

@drewb52, I was thinking the very same thing, it's so nice to see a couple of young guys enjoying the home and it's history without doing any damage to it. In so many of these video's you see where little punks have basically destroyed beautiful homes just to do it and it ruins it for others.

This is an incredibly beautiful home. How sad about the Family that lived there. In your Country, Belgium, it is so nice that people are respectful of the dead and others peoples property. In my Country, USA, this beautiful home would have been destroyed by vandals. They would have destroyed everything because... I'm not exactly sure why they destroy such beautiful places in American. Your Parents should be very proud of you two young men. I really enjoyed your video and look forward to watching more of your videos. This was a nice peek into the past. Thank you for sharing.

Carol B. As an American, I greatly resent your comment on "American vandals". Don't lump us all in together. I raised 4 kids that would walk through this house and marvel at it and everything in it. They would talk about the history of it, imagine the people that lived there, wonder what it was like. They would be "very respectful of the dead and other peoples property". They would do all that because that is how I raised them.

It may have been noted in prior comments. Sorry if I'm repeating someone. I noted WITH raised heartbeat the many pieces of Copodimante Ceramic wear! Just lovely! The downstairs bedset is 1920's. The velvet mini chairs in attic are turn of century. The basement? Had two huge cabinets. One is engraved. That was in a Catholic Church. It is a vestal cabinet. Lots of gorgeous paintings too. As a curator of a 110 year old mansion filled with one owner possession. I appreciate so much these RARE time capsules! Thank you for bringing me to this "urban museum" . All my best! Great vid! Back in 2015 my wife and I went to Italy for a vacation and to visit with some relatives in Naples, Italy. We had a hotel room right on the ocean, it was beautiful! My uncle, who is from America stopped by the hotel to give us a ride and asked to use the bathroom. When it took him forever to come out again we knocked on the bathroom door to see if he was okay. He told us that he was using the "foot-bath" which was right across from the toilette; *it was actually the bidet he was using* and not the nonexistent "foot-bath" lol! I think that the chandeliers and some of the furniture that you identified as "copper" were gold-gilded bronze and bronze, copper furniture and light fixtures are pretty rare.

You asked for people that speak English, I do that and, unfortunately, very little else. The fire place blower thingy is called a "bellows." What you called a "sleep over room" would typically be called a "guest room" for friends to stay in. Where the ladies make themselves beautiful is a "dressing table." I'm more than happy to watch people carefully respecting history. I look forward to what you find next week.

I truly admire the respect you have for the people that owned these places. However on the flip side, a part of me also mourns the fact that most of these beautiful artifacts won't be salvaged, and will eventually be ruined. It's sad in a way.

Fabulous! You brothers are both very respectful and honouring of these homes and of the individuals who lived them, which is lovely to see. And, you speak kindly with clear and precise words and although you might not know the correct words to certain pieces of furniture or items, it doesn't matter - because we can understand you perfectly! Thank you,

Hi guys, I really enjoy your videos. That thing you were looking at in the living room that is shaped like a seashell looks to me like it is a ink pen holder. Here in America we call those cabinets with the glass for antiques, curio cabinets. And those pieces of furniture that has the mirror and brushes and combs are called a vanity. There were some truly beautiful things in this house. Thanks for letting us explore with you.

I am always so impressed by the respect shown to public areas and private abandoned buildings in France and Belgium. Yes, I know you have people who tag empty buildings too, but if there were places like you are filming sitting open, or accessible with a little effort here in the States, they would have been stripped to the plaster and lath within six months. This is no exaggeration. Not even the woodwork would be left. Locked up houses are broken into and people brazenly back up moving vans to them and go in with crowbars and dollys and just empty them out. In English, a bedroom table a woman sits at to do her hair and make up is called (appropriately) a vanity.

Maybe squatters or other relatives. not sure what countries all of these abandoned houses are. its wired that family of the couple hasn't sold all the furnishings. I just discovered your videos tonight. I commend you young gentlemen for the high level of respect you display on your adventures through abandoned properties. The compliments you give to the persons who once lived in these places is highly commendable. The gentleness you exhibit when you touch the items that once belonged to a living human being is very touching. As a viewer, you waltz me through a place where time stands still, frozen as it was when last touched by it's final inhabitants. You lend a spark to the imagination as to how it must have been to live there, how they lived, where they slept, and walked, dined and dreamed in a time that was once their own and is no more. I am in awe. Keep up the good work. You have made abandoned exploration into an art of a delicate tour. Many blessings to you and thank you from the depths of my heart. From - An admiring American.
