If you only want to change the color to black, try dying the interior black! It should work because it's already light colored, and you only need to get the dye itself, could save thousands on reupholstering.

Dying is usually wasted money because the finish ages really badly, at which point the best option is to pay out again to re-upholster

​@@briceni6136Most factory leather upholsteries are dyed as well so why is it a problem? Of course the quality of dyes and applying makes a difference, but my guess is that it could work with the right stuff and proper cleaning first.

@@mrlaholatva One finish is chemically bonded in the material the other mechanically adheres to the surface only. Both look great in the beginning but you can really tell the difference after several months of abuse.

Love the idea 😁 i'd say that the Murci doesn't have much body parts left to swap, but i know you guys will make this work somehow 😉 For the interior i would prefer the Tesla one, because that's the thing you will see and use the most while driving. Maybe change the steering wheel to something less bulky and transfer the buttons. Another build series where i will not miss a single video from.

There's an RFID card scanner in the center console you'll need to migrate over too, behind the cup holders.

This channel has the best drive train/body swaps on the internet. Can't wait to watch this build.

Agreed! I legit didnt expect a murci body for the EV drivetrain. I literally said "NO WAY" out loud. What a fun idea, this build will be awesome to watch

Honestly I would probably run this one back thru CoPart and make a little money on it. The body panel parts alone that will be required to fix this make it cost prohibitive. Hell each headlight is about $3k if you can even find them.

I'm pretty sure that the black piece that you weren't sure where it goes, is the piece above the exhaust. Sort of part of the diffuser.

You should dye the existing interior saddle brown it could be really nice with the red

The tesla thing has been in the works for quite a while now. They just now acquired a body for it, which happens to be a wrecked murci. But yeah, I would also like to see some organizing and upkeep on this channel instead of endless amount of piling projects that often make no sense and don't get used.

ive been working on a murcielago for a few months and did a countach a few months before that. all I can say when it comes to working on either is, have fun. I personally cant wait to see the thing out of my shop lol.

Oscar left his previous job as a fabricator to come work here, so it's safe to assume he's better off financially. Then there's the Oscar Stang and The Porsche Cayenne, that were bought for him almost as a gag. The porsche isn't even being used, so Oscar is probably driving something much nicer.

VERY curious how you (and Oscar) are gonna save this... But excited for the Teslaghini!

The battery is in the driver rear fender well. Need to remove the wheel. Looks like the hardest part is fixing the body, and getting all the missing parts. I noticed it's an e-gear. It's the same transmission as the manual, 3 pedal . I would try converting to manual, you need to go stand alone ECU but I think it would be the best project making it into a rwd manual. Swap the Tesla motor into the DMC DeLorean. I think once you hear the bizzarrini V12 you will want to keep it.

That V12 would be sick in the one seater. Maybe y'all can do a V12 exoskeleton cart.

Car battery - remove the driver-side rear wheel (left rear), wheel trim & look forward after that... its just in front of the wheel trim on a tray strapped down etc

Good thing it had that paint protection film, definitely protected the car 😬

Laser scan the driver door , flip it, 3d print a mold in sections that you can bond together to make the complete mold? I’m just taking some pages out of your book here.

Looking forward to the build. Also it would be really cool if you even customize a MG MIDGET with a crazy powertrain like a LS or BMW M series swap.

I would have prefered the delorean as it was such a futuristic car in its day. To see it with a modern electric drive-train would have been really cool. It would also be nice if instead of keeping Lambo or Tesla interior, if you could make a fusion of the both. e.g. make the center screen and the wood look like it belongs in the lambo interior.

When he bought it originally he said he was hoping that GM would sponsor him with one of their crate build EV conversion kits, I'm guessing that didn't come through seeing how he briefly considered putting the V12 in.

Excited for this! Tesla dash screen fitted to Lambo dash would be sweet.

I think it's cool that Farmer Build gift wrapped it for you.

Would be sweet to make some molds of panels you need and make carbon bits :P

Back in the day when electric lighting was new, they'd convert the nicest oil lamps to accept a bulb, It was an irreversible change that nowadays feels like vandalism to those that appreciate such things. For those people, seeing a beautiful, rare, functional or repairable piece of history turned into just one of hundred billion electric lamps, it makes them very sad indeed.

Oscar had hay fever and should have that looked at, even if he doesn't go into the country. Just today's friendly, get yourself checked every now and then reminder 😂

Im sure Houston at Royalty cars has parts including a pretty sweet body kit left over from the DDE manual Murci (minus front bumper)

The way the model 3 works you’re gonna need that Tesla display, they do sell a secondary display online that you can put on the gauge cluster, that way most of the important information is right in front of you

Looking forward to seeing how you rebuild this bodywork from its current state. Personally I would have preferred to see a combined body/engine rebuild but lets see how it works.

Before you disassemble it, try to start the engine, so you know it's ok

Well, the Murcrunchago is an interesting starting point. Gonna be fascinating finding the other half of the body.

That motor would be pretty cool in the rx7 if it would fit.

Murcielago is such a unique and classic looking Lambo, it needs to, neigh, it WANTS to remain itself. I would totally go down the "are you insane" route, and refurbish the original Murcie interior while incorporating the tesla tech underneath it, that would make a truly one of a kind cars.

1976 Cadillac El Dorado needs a v12. Plenty of room under the hood.

That Lamborghini engine would be sweet in an old truck. Just put a cap on it, no one would know it's a rear engine truck. Should be plenty of room. Think about it... 😎
