It breaks my heart when places like this are abandoned. I’m sure the family would have loved to stay. When the main bread winner passes away the rest of the family suffers in many ways. I pray that they find comfort and have somewhere safe to live. 😢
When I watch these videos, there’s such a mixture of emotions where I’m really sad for the person that passed, and their family, but also appreciation for the fact that material things mean nothing after we’re gone. Thank you!

What an amazing house. So sorry to hear that the man passed away at such a young age and that the family had to leave because the house wasn't paid off. Sad for all involved.
I came for the best KZreadr in Brazil!!

I love and appreciate the way you give a detailed history of these mansions. And the way you really give the prior owners and the property so much respect.
I discovered your channel through Renato Garcia's channel, who is also a KZreadr and legend hunter, he recorded a video reacting to your video about this house, I really liked it! You did well, just need to record with Renato Garcia! I hope you call him one day! Save!
How devastating that he passed an they had to move! I hope they were able to find a nice, safe place! Such unexpected I'm sure!! what makes me saddest is knowing how many homeless around the US (an only getting worse ) an many never expecting to be an even working... An there's so many places just "sitting, abandoned!" It's so sad!

Hello, I came here watching this top video, through Brazilian KZread Renato Garcia, who records content from abandoned places, just like you, I came to ask none of him that you call him to record with you, it will be really cool.
You're right that first room would have been the formal living room and the small paneled room would have been the man's den/office. The large room with the fireplace would have been the family room. For those of us not wealthy and in smaller homes we called ours the den. The rocks by the door were flower/plant beds. That was a thing in the 70's. The down stairs would have been the Rumpus room. A sort of den/game room usually for teens. The downstairs bedrm. would have been the guest room. The large room upstairs would have been the master, remember 70's ideas were a bit different and bathrooms used to be smaller than today! The bat thing is a juggling batton there would have been a set of them four or more. The chain was used for hanging plants. Love that fireplace!! In the 70's nobody hung the TV on the wall, remember we didn't have flat screens then. TVs were bulky in design. Sombody took the mantle probably a very nice one.

The one thing that really stands out for me is the royal blue carpeted grand staircase. And with the blue drapes in the entryway, it is grand indeed! It's so sad that the family had to leave. Just goes to prove that your life can change in an instant.

A heart attack changes everyone. Sad
Such a shame that the kids lost their dad and their home all in a short period of time and also had to leave some of their personal belongings
I came for Renato García 🇧🇷🇧🇷
I’m not sure if someone else commented this yet but usually in bigger houses or mansions- if there is a smaller staircase adjacent or straight to the kitchen other than the main staircase- it is usually “butler’s stairs” or “servant’s stairs” for people who hired extra help.
😂😂😂 Him saying “this is where they probably mounted their tv” as he points above the fireplace! Oh child! TVs we’re giant heavy pieces of furniture known as consoles.
What saddens me most about these videos of abandoned properties is thinking that once people lived happily in these spaces, noisy children ran and played, and today there is only silence and desolation. And the soundtracks you put in the videos make us even sadder. And I wonder where are these people who survived? Are they okay?
yes, in ONE split second, 1 heart beat, life can change for an entire family.........when does love become tragedy?? ......... and I love your content........ thank you so much.

After watching so many videos like this, then finding out the story that the families left after a loved one passed away, it's crazy to think about how many people don't have mortgage insurance, basically if your loved one passes away and they were on the mortgage the house gets paid off, by the bank.
So sad to hear of their loss. I cant imagine packing bags and then leaving them
It always breaks my heart seeing these beautiful homes abandoned then the sad story behind why...like this one.
Wow!! This house looks like a mini apartment complex from the outside lol. Thank you for your awesome videos.

I did think that as well. Looks like a complex I used to live in.
The first thing I wondered is what about his insurance? He must have had life insurance?! What about insurance on the mortgage? We may never know but often, in these specific circumstances, the mortgage is insured against death or income loss. Also, you’d think a man as prominent as him, would have a rather large life insurance policy that could have paid off the house and any other debts. Was someone doing this well, and in his 50’s, not prepared at all to take care of his family? I’d love to find out!

The backstory is almost entirely fake. The owners are still around. They chose to downsize rather than deal with deferred maintenance on a ~7500 square foot house. Carter's sympathetic story is to get you to watch a video of debris so worthless the prior owners left it behind as they downsized.
Muito top esse vídeo parabéns 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

It's nice to see (from what I saw) that it's not vandalized. Cool property, you do a great job
So beautiful mansion so sad it's been abandoned 😢...thanks Bigbankz for showing this...and take care always and your friends.
I loved this one! Such of a cool house! So much of the original finishes in tact. For sure has foreclosure vibes. Like it was purchased, renovations started then couldn’t afford it.
Thanks for sharing this tour and the truly sad story!
Another fantastic upload!!
"Wow" Big Bankz, this is what happens when you don't have a will, or provisions, are not made for your family. It appears as they were packing, they were putting the things they were leaving behind, were put randomly in any room. We didn't hang TV's in the 70's we didn't have flat screens. It was sad to see the Twin Tower poster. Great video as always, I hope this family found peace and a nice place to live. Love from N.Y.
I am so sad the man passed away at such a young age, and I feel heartbroken for his family because the house was not paid off.
Great mansion to explore. Thanks for sharing so we can tag a long with you. Keep up the great content! Stay safe!
Well done! Really enjoyed your video!
Wow. Awesome explore! House is sooooo nice. 😊
I remember that old linoleum flooring from the 70's. I had some like that. It was easy to maintain. I did have a dog that had a phobia of linoleum. He refused to walk on it. He'd walk on any other kind of flooring except linoleum. He'd be walking throughout the house just fine, until he'd reach that linoleum and then he'd just literally freeze in place. 😂😅
Bro amazing video! Going to deep dive your content
What amazing home I love it. Thank you for sharing have a great day 😊
I love the staircase it would make beautiful Christmas pictures and the kitchen also beautiful great video bigbankz.
Hi! Just found your channel. Loving the content! Cheers from Sweden!
very awesome house, I love the main staircase, the wall paper looked like burlap which was popular back then, very cool layout, just said it is getting torn down, thank you for sharing🙃🙃
Wish you would have checked the expiration dates on some of the food in the pantry, would have given a better idea of when it was last occupied.. Another nice find
Thanks for sharing I enjoy videos ! I really enjoy this beautiful place now
Such sad story of the family hope the wife and children found peace and found somewhere else to live ,great video and very imformative thankyou
I think the entertainment center would be in the indentation (across from fireplace) because of the electrical receptacles. I was in high school and college during the '70's. Video games were brand new, televisions were nothing like we have today. There was no internet.
I love the retro vibe but at the same time all the paneling……lol. Great place!!
Your videos are awesome! You do a great job!
Bigbankz Great video Thank you it so sad to see all these beautiful mansion left to deteriorate in the elements don't think the TV 📺 was over the fireplace bc of heat 🔥 I'm would think it was between those two shelves in the wall
Maybe house plants hanging on those chains --- big in the 70s. Burlap wallpaper. Very cool home! Thanks for sharing!
The mansion is amazing but another life lesson. You can't take it with you, no matter how old or rich you are.,Death comes to us all.👍👍

Hey Big bankz, thanks again for another great upload. I love and look forward to your vids and the feeling I get when going on these adventures with you even if i have to do it virtually it feels like I'm actually there. Sounds silly but I nervously wait for someone to appear yelling, "Hey, What are you doing in here!", or something of the sort. haha. You still have the greatest adventure channel on the net. Cheers.
What a beautiful place love your explores an thank you 😊
Yes!!! Mottled with gold style mirrors at the back of your bar and in other parts of the house was the fashion in the 1970’s. Bars in the house generally were a lot more posher in style back then, than they are today. You displayed at the back on nice shelves, interesting liquor bottles that you bought overseas. And genuine wood paneling was considered a luxury. If u didn’t have the cash, you had fake wood. The record collection indicates that the family left in the 1980’s. Murals on the walls started out in the 1950’s. My mum hated them and had a big nice Autumn Scene removed from our new house’s living room. They were still seen in the 70’s tho. And indoor rocks garden, that’s another 1970’s feature. There would have been plants.
This is why it's so important to have an insurance policy so that your family and house etc are protected
Such a sad feeling 😞 with this house. Great video guys.

Loved this! 🙂👍
Great video and house! Those records are worth some $$$ Especially The Doors first album, Billy Idol ect
You can’t always see the toxic mold but basements are full of it
Another great upload! I was wondering if the room that connected to the kitchen with that staircase might've been a maid's room?
Great 👍 video bigbankz cool 😎
It's obvious that there was a sale here. Lot's of items of same grouped together. The window seats is what you were trying to describe and the wallpaper you said was made from potato sacks was actually burlap which was popular in the 70's.
Incredible video and Mansion
Love Watching
Weird it's like the house was used to be lived in but really cool 😎👍 find I liked it
Yes, the rocks would have had plants in them. That was common back then. They would have been green house plants, probably not flowering.
I am brand new to your channel... I have been watching all your videos. This mansion (the outside) reminds me of appartments in New Orleans. Anywho.. I love your work. Subscribed figured I would hangout a while. -Kell Williamson
I enjoy the way you show us these homes. It just amazes me that there is no family members that clean out belongings. Do you get to keep any thing when you go through the homes being they area a bandit?
The outside design reminds me of some apartment buildings in my local area. 2 things I noticed that you didn't say anything about. If the husband died in his 40s then the family probably left either the late 70s or early 80s. Which means someone else has been staying there. Those toothbrushes in the basement are within the last few years and the food in the pantry are modern also. With the fact that it looks like some remodeling has been done I'm guessing someone has lived in the house recently. Also that thermostat is very modern. Just my guess. But within the last year I'd say it had been occupied.

That blank wall in the other room with the records…In the 70s that is where a screen would drop down for projection viewing. The rich could afford satellite dishes and they were huge!!!
Love the videos
what a sad story, 54 is so young. I loved the blue tiled floor, so beautiful and the blue staircase
That vinyl collection!!😮
An interesting house, very generously built !
I love the entry way tile flooring.

Gosh,,, Wish I could live there! Blue is my Fav Color!!

Nope to the blue carpet. Lol. The staircase is so close to the front door. Yikes!
