It's one hell of a nice care home, immaculate. Such a shame it's closed down, perfect place to house plenty of homeless people wouldn't you think. Hope to god the vandals don't get to it, after your visit security really needs to be stepped up. Looks like the shits have already tried with that broken glass.

ye first is a boundary alarm as you get deeper in buildings there is generally another set that is more priority and may dial in where the intruders are

As soon as they opened a fire exit, it triggers an alarm Standard for all care homes If the alarm is not shut off, it usually goes to the fire services - they’ll know the home is shut down and have contacted the polis

I was looking at this video thinking i know this place, its in saltcoats, apparently from what the rumors were saying it was closed down because the owner had gambling debts, dont know if its true or not, Its now open again as a drug/addiction rehab centre apparently. Just thought i would let anyone that was curious.

I would say, the owner did most of the correct things for this building. he does have an alarm system, he put up security screening on ninety-nine percent of everything and he fully intended for you not to get in that building. I don't know about the laws in Scotland but nowhere on that building did I see a no trespassing sign. the cops did show up, so he did most of it right. I suggest that the owner comes back and puts up some more security screening on theo doors so you can't get in. because now that you've been in there, every little shit in the country will be trying to get in there and tear it up. nice explore, nice building. let's see how long it stays that way. you should come back in 90 days 30 days 60 days whatever and see what it looks like at that point

I am watching from Canada. I want to visit Scotland in the near future . What a waste of a great place. Tables are all set . How many elderly would have been there? So many homeless , and elderly and this just sits empty . SHAME

Looks very similar to the new multimillion pound care home I worked in on Dumbarton Where is it? Feels very Glasgow Do you know why it shut? There’s hundreds of thousands of pounds of equipment and furnishings in there - sad to see with the state many care homes are in Have you guys visited the rectory in Cardross? Opened in the 70s for around £70m and was shut in 2 years Great place for videos/photos Lot of local bands go there for photoshoots
