Dylan The modulator valve on the back passenger side of the transmission requires a vacuum line to manifold vacuum.
Dylan I want to thank you for saving these old school cars in my opinion. The old school cars are better then newer cars are today

it's not saved. it's temporarily patched together. it needs a lot of love but this model brings some bucks when they're restored.

@jamesbigham9036 @nathanboerner2256 How do you guys figure it's saved? Now that he's made YT content with it, it'll sit there & rot in his back field. Is that saved? Cuz it's not back on the road as a daily driver, is it?

Pull off the rims, scrap the rest, too far gone!
you failed to put a vacuum hose on the modulator on the trans. that little gold can on the back of the trans needs to be hooked up to manifold vacuum. it controls shift. also the kick down from the trans to the carb needs hooked up. looks like the hook up on the shift shaft is missing. hope this helps!
I've enjoyed your channel for quite some time, but bringing Briar into the mix has taken you to a whole new level. Not only the interactions between teacher and student, but also 2 like-minded car guys doing what they love. Thanks for the pleasure you bring to your viewers.

Your fill point for any water cooled engine needs to be the higher than anything else. If you have bleeders like on the efi Fox body’s they need to be cracked open to let all of the air out.
You should do a full restoration on it.

absolutely Josh. This model is quite collectible. I'd go all the way through it. It has the makings of a good project car.

I don’t know why but out of all the 1964-1/2 to 1973 classic era Mustangs the 1969-1970 are my favorite. I think it’s because they have smoother body lines. Find me a coupe like this and I’ll be a happy man!

Me too.... The old T/A racing Mustangs....that's what I'd do to it.
The dog is like that one friend that stands there and watch you struggle don't offer to help out come up with excuses as to why he can't help 3:55
Mustang need to be restored. Time for Briar to get a car and rebuild in o the channel.
I gotta say, the idle really improved there at the end, and it started running better overall after a few doughnuts
7:04 check the dipstick Jimmy, whip crack😂
Thank you Northern Tool! I have a 1969 Fastback, easy car to work on, loads of repair parts available. The balancers are 2 piece with a strip of leather in between and fail all the time. The vacuum modulator valves fail on C4 transmissions also giving you your shifting symptoms you have (also if you don’t have a vacuum line hooked up).
B&M makes a drain plug kit , you just need to make sure you find a good spot to drill so the bolt doesn't interfere or contact the valve body. That's still a Cool mustang
The Mustang turned out to be a ripper! It still could used a few items. I think it deserves a part #3. Like rebuild the Holley, replace balancer, patch the floor with random tin, fuel supply from tank. I'm not a Ferd guy, but the Juice is worth the squeeze on this one it seems. Was a nice video folow up from the first.
When you had it on the left earlier I've seen there was no vacuum on the modulator
The 70 is my favorite stang front end out of all years from 64½ to present. This is being written as your pushing it onto the lift. Looking forward to the rest of video and I hope to see many episodes of this car. Thanks Mr. McCool for the entertainment you provide. I think the addition of your co-worker is a great one, don't know how to spell Briar, Brier, Bryer, Bryr.....if I paid attention I'm sure I could've picked up on it, along with Dylan's, Dylon's....etc...nane too haha. God Bless you and your family's ✌🏻
All you ever see is the fastback version of those. It's nice to see the coop. Hopefully you have bigger plans for it
About Briar falling. You said it'd be kinda funny if he did. The old saying "It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt. Then it's HILARIOUS".
Thank you Northern Tool! Love seeing old Mustangs live again!
Thanks guys, always happy to see your vids, like that you have Briar working on stuff with you, Great team y'all are❤
Love the content Dylan, keep up the good work
I work on my own when I can work, but I have a winch I put on the end of the hoist, to drag non running vehicles, saves a lot of energy, doing a great job, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Thank you Northern Tool!
Briar sure has come along way to being more comfortable in front of the camera. Sure enjoy all the content!
Thank you northern tools!!! We love watching your videos Dylan
Would love to see this Mustang rebuilt.
Love to see this car fixed up nice! A 70 mustang is so cool! I think you may have a modulator problem or no vacuum going to the modulator
Thanks Dylan. You got it going. Guess you got yourself a flip. May have to do a couple more things to it. Thanks for sharing! 💯👍
Thank you Northern Tool
The Charger is really coming along, love it. Green cars are awesome... The Mustang though, that thing will take a while to get right. Will be well worth it though :)
From Randy in Chattanooga: Hey Dylan. I hope you’re doing well. I just finished watching part 2 of the Mustang episode. I always have liked the older model cars as opposed to these newer vehicles. I’ll take an old square body Chevy any day. Love your channel. Keep up the good work. God bless.🙏
Now we’re talking brother loved all the mustangs
I was shocked you knew Raining Blood! Great Video, love your content.
Hello Dylan and Briar
I love this car...! looking forward to see a roadstoration
Thank you northern tools! Dylan’s vids are some of the best on KZread
Paused @3:33. I hear the distinct sound of dry rutted tires shearing apart. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Thank you northern tool and get this old girl running good
Thank you northern tools! Beautiful unit!
Would be cool if you made a restoration video on it, and converting it into a fastback/sportsroof, I've seen way worse cars than that underneath, but leave it with the same motor and trans sort of a budget friendly route
Dylan, you are the McCoolest! Your SLAYERRRRR was on point!
Thank you Northern Tool. Top shelf as always sir!!
I had one of these in high school in 1979. 302 2 bbl. Loved it.
Thank you Northern Tool! That compressor looks amazing
Thank you Northern Tools, great video Dylan , great car with a little help from your friends.
I hope we see more of this car. It needs a lot of work, but the foundations for a great car are there.
I've watched a lot of your videos, and have always been a big fan, but you humming Raining Blood by Slayer was one of the best moments in any of your videos! Keep up the good work, Dylan!
hey Dylan and Briar, i'm a chevy fan through and through but i love these old mustangs..from 65 to about 80..the cobra and pony 2 is about where my love stops, anything after that is just too rounded ...this ole girl deserves to be back on the road and putting down some miles like she did in her glory days..no not a complete restore but fix what is there and put the rest of her nose back on and just cruise her around..sendin yall love from Alabama
Love old fords period!!, That includes the foxbody also, That's a candidate for a restoration 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏, More fords and Mercury's.
I am surprised wheel cylinders were not available for a 1970 Mustang.

Thank you Northern Tool. Excellent video.
You need the correct radiator, the cap has to be the highest point. The car is worth it... sell it or fix it, please don't let it rot .
Mabie a 3rd video with balancer, and some other improvements🤌🌞
Excellent video Dylan :) , Bryer:) , think.1970 Ford Mustang lives on new adventures and cool car to enjoy with you both ! Plus would fix up to liking and much more too!
Thanks Northern Tool!
Dylan, another great rescue of a car that has a new lease on life. Just a suggestion, but it would be super cool to see her get the same treatment as the challenger. Thanks again for another awesome video.
That transmission has a vacuum modulator. It needs a vacuum line hooked up to shift properly
Hey Dylan and Briar It was cool meeting you two in the parking lot at the hotel. I had the Monte ss keep up the great shows
Very cool car and worth a second life!! Nice work Dylan
To find leaks use masking tape it’s quite easy to follow the trail and see where the leak is starting.
Love the video's. Man i hope you find a 1972 charger and bring it back to life. My dad had a 72 charger and it's my dream car to own.
She is worth saving,an you guys are worth watching 😉.
make sure the pan isn't warped from overytightening.
that's a nice new shed you got there
Thank you northern tool! The old stang has potential for sure. And you gotta love a slayer reference.
Should've used a brass freeze plug, less likely to have recurring problems with them
Dylan, walking is good for you!!!!!!
Loved the slayer raining blood Dylan!
You said you didn't want to hurt the engine, with that busted balancer you are more than likely trashing the crank bearings.

So we know Dylan is a Slayer fan @10:38 , old school Slayer 🤘
THANK YOU NORTHERN TOOL!
I have one same year and body style, mighty fine care too.
It's comin back 2 life Dylan, runs good for what it is!!! It definitely deserves another chance at life. You n Briar saved another one🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 one 🛞 peel fun🎉🎉🎉🎉
Dillon if you go back and watch you can see at one point bryer points out the leak coming from the pan so maybe both spots were leaking
I think those wheels fit that car perfectly and will actually clean up quite nice when all is said and done…..im currently getting a ‘67 c code coupe up and road worthy after sitting over 25yrs …..my teenage son was dead set on a mustang and when a childhood friend realized his kids had zero intrests in it …..he offered it up to us first just to keep it in the family still…..we currently put a efi system on the 289 but are in the process of building up a late 90’s explorer roller cam 5.0 with all kinds of goodies like higher compression aluminum heads and flat tops ….hoping to squeeze 350hp out of it…..im a chevy guy myself so this ford stuff is a learning curve for me!!!! But theres always you tube and google when all else fails
This inspired me to get off my butt and go work on my ratty 69 mustang! I love the car and the content!
Nice job to you sir good show 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😃
Thank you, Northern Tool.

Of course the air is not going to work out of the coolant system because the cap is lower than the top of the radiator.

Hey Dylan, I’m not sure if you connected a vacuum line to the vacuum modulator the vacuum modulator on the transmission controls the shift points

My 69 Torino 302/C4 hast a transmission leak that I chased for years. I finally had to replace the dipstick tube to fix it. I tried o rings, etc but the original just wouldn't seal anymore. Go ahead and change it and save some trouble later!
Hi Dylan...love the videos....this mustang deserves restoration....please.. come help me get my edsel running
You have to watch putting rtv on both sides of the gaskets because when you tighten up the part it can push out the gasket between 2 bolts
