आज के समय में IIT जैसे संस्थान में भी एडमीशन का मतलब ये नहीं रहा कि नौकरी पूरी तरह पक्की है. इसके पीछे वजह क्या है इसका विश्लेषण करेंगे. लेकिन पहले कुछ आंकड़े दिखाते हैं. जो बता रहे हैं, कि IIT कैंपस प्लेसमेंट में नौकरी पानी वाले छात्रों की संख्या कैसे कम हुई है. साल 2022 की बात की जाए तो प्लेसमेंट के लिए रजिस्टर करने वाले छात्रों की संख्या 17 हज़ार 900 थी. लेकिन प्लेसमेंट से नौकरी पाए 14 हज़ार 490 छात्र. यानि 3 हज़ार 410 छात्रों को प्लेसमेंट नहीं मिला जो करीब 19 फीसदी हैं.
