That interference no-call led to the Yankees scoring 7 runs to make the game go from 4-4 to 11-4 when all 7 runs were scored after the 3rd out would have been made had the call been correctly and the runner out at first.

Judge wasn't wrong. The umps were. I don't see a problem trying to block the vision or disrupt the play. If you get hit doing it, that's the price you pay and you leave it up to the umps to make the call. Some times it works in your favor. Some times it doesn't. Its a pretty basic baseball tactic. 🤷‍♂️

So I guess the next question is if player just doesn't slide at all and gets beaned in the chest on the way to second, is it still interference? Why not just hit the baserunner with the a throw if you don't think you'll have time to get the guy at first? Also a lot of people slide like that, Judge is just 8 feet tall so it actually effected the play for once lol

Every slide into 2nd is unnatural. Either people are unnaturally trying to make themselves big to not-quite-really interfere with the throw, or unnaturally sliding sideways through the bag to break up the throw without looking like they're targeting the throw, or they're unnaturally trying to make themselves small to duck out of the way and avoid getting called for interference. I don't see anyone in MLB making a natural effort to just tag 2nd. Ergo, this whole "unnatural slide" thing is hilarious to me.
