He gives me hope being the shorter lineman I am.

Looking at his film. This man will be a stud at the next level, regardless of height. Yeah he might be 6'0 feet, but he will still dominate so as long as he plays in a 4-3 system. His strength, use of hands, vision, speed(quick first step), and how he sheds blocks. Sets him up to be a monster of a run stuffer/pass rusher at the NFL level. He's pretty much a linebacker playing at the line of scrimmage. Especially going after the quarterback. That's his bread, and butter. Big DTs like Vince Wilfork, Dontari Poe, and Haloti Ngata. Are only required in 3-4 system. To fill the gap, and push the pile. Hence the emphasis on the size, and strength. However Donald can have similar disruption playing a Geno Atkins type of role in a 4-3. It really all depends on who drafts him, and how he's utilize.

Good takes. I feel he would be a perfect fit for a 3-4 team as a defensive end though, as well. I feel he is scheme diverse, talent and determination are a tough combination to beat.

the rams got a total steal with this kid not even fair.

Living in Pittsburgh and watching him all the time, the guy is the best player in nation. Double teamed every play and still destroys game plans.

best pure football player in the draft without doubt. Has the athleticism, speed, power, leverage, and pass rush moves. He's got it all. If he were two inches taller and 25 pounds heavier he would be #1 overall without question.

This guy can consistently get off of double teams and is excellent against the run

As a GIants fan I'm hoping for an OL but this would be the one guy I'd pass on OL for.Awesome player.

nfl network has big blue going offense first round in the draft. Anyway it goes Bears are going to priorityize on defense in this draft so the Monsters of the Midway are back.

That first step.... deadly, the swim move that follows is just as good and he truly is a student of the game, it's like he knows where the ball is all the time. What a motor! I truly hope he gets the recognition he is due. He reminds me of a healthy Tommie Harris.

i love this guy....idc what his combine or pro day numbers will be.....watch the film now he fits a 4-3 scheme better imo but i think he more than good enought 2 play in the 3-4

I really hope so. He seems to work hard and have a lot of talent, his center of gravity is low so he immediately has control off the push and his speed and size makes him disruptive. He also isn't as dynamic as Jadeveon Clowney. I think Clowney is a show boat after doing what he did at the combine treating it like nothing. The Bears do not need that kind of player, we need a strong, humble, hard working player.

If this guy makes it to the Patriots, they should draft him. They need another disruptive presence to hold the run with Big Vince, as well as a sack guy. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get picked up in by a team before the 20th pick though. Even though he doesn't have the size to match up with most DT's he is still an athletic beast, and whoever drafts him will get a hold of a dominant player. Hope he can keep it up for the NFL

Wow, the Bears need a monster like this ! If the Bears don't take Nix or another DT with their 1st pick I could easily see them taking Donald with their 2nd if he is still there, what an impressive football player !

I love the way he plays with finesse and power. Never seen a player gauge how much power he needs to exert on each play like this kid can. Don't think he'll be around when the Cowboys pick though. Dammit!

A month ago I thought Donald would easily drop to the Bears. Now I am thinking it is becoming more and more unlikely that he does. Hopefully the Giants grab an OL and the rest of the teams fall asleep as this future HOF falls to the Monsters of the Midway.

This guy is clearly unstoppable, undeniable skill set and ability, huge repertoire of moves (though seemingly all instinctive), perfect demeanor (very casual about his dominance), a legitimate mismatch to what looks like everybody, alpha-male presence on the field, stops the run, pass AND option, you can't run away or at him, virtually every other tackle is in the backfield, demoralizing player, hard to run against-hard to pass against, looks like the best football player on the field, super athletic, gets off the ball instantly, instant reactions, perfect instincts, perfect for a 4-3.....Dallas Cowboys...please get this Man.

I’ve been watching football for nearly 40 years. Donald is the best interior D lineman I’ve ever seen. Warren Sapp was also awesome, but Donald is on a whole nother level.

yes exactly if he was 2 inches taller and maybe 20 pounds heavier hes top 3 overall but everyone is too big on the whole size thing... Have they not seen Russ Wilson play?

We are in the best spot to land Donald, and if for some odd reason Barr or Lewan are on the board at #14 in this 2014 darft Da Bears would lose me as a fan if they pasted them up. There are at least 6 or 7 defensive guys coming out this draft that can go all pro as a rookie.

The more i see him play, the more i think John Randle. Don't care how tall it is. If he's at Chicago, he'll do damage. They can't double team him every time or Allen will get to the QB. They can't double team Allen all the time, and Donald, Houston or Ratliff will get to the QB or ball carrier. Think i'm in love. Lol. This kid is amazing.

Man I wish Dallas could grab this dude but I really doubt he get's past the Bears so hopefully they address that 3 tech spot in free agency or something so he can fell right to Dallas. I like Jeringan as well though, not as fast which is something Dallas covets in DL. An Bears fans know if they re-sign Melton they'd still want Donald or would they go somewhere else? BTW: I think Dallas would be interested in Melton because of Marinelli and he grew up in the Dallas area. It's interesting.

I remember watching this the first time and it I was jaw dropped with what I saw, now I just laugh because it's so funny how dominant he is and how long it took for him to get noticed by these so called "Draft Experts".

I love all these people claiming their team is going to take him, when they have 15 and up picks. This guy isn't lasting past 10 picks and if he does he might go to 11. If your favorite team isn't one of those. Forget about it.

Sinbad Jefferson I keep seeing this nonsense. Falcons fans must be loony. I love the play of Aaron Donald but he is not a first round prospect and Falcons fans are talking about taking him 6th overall. What is wrong with you people? Furthermore any teams that is running a 3-4 defense is not going to give Donald a high grade. The only teams that will reach for this guy in the first round are teams like Dallas, Philadelphia but they just drafted Fletcher Cox recently, Cinncinatti but they have Atkins, Carolina but they already have a very good defense, Denver or Seattle. When you get down to Denver and Seattle, that's about where Donald should be. So realistically the only team to reach for Donald is the Dallas Cowboys.
