Aamir Khan is a famous Bollywood actor who is making waves for the incredible body transformation he made to go from fit to fat to fit again in just months for his movie Dangal. In one of the most stunning body makeovers in film history, Khan went from 155 pounds to 215 at a body fat of 38 percent and then dropped back down to 158 pounds and 9.3 percent body fat. In this video, I’m going to cover the real key behind this transformation and what you need to realize before you attempt to make the same rapid change.
The first thing you must notice about this is that Aamir was fit before he made this movie. He walked around at a steady 150 pounds and by all standards was in very good shape. He already had the discipline instilled him to conduct a healthy lifestyle where he regularly worked out and ate right. The real struggle, as he put it, was in putting on the weight not necessarily taking it off. That is not consistent with what those who struggle with weight really battle.
Rather than struggling to put it on, those with weight issues have a major difficulty trying to get rid of the excess body fat. This is for two reasons. One is as already alluded to, they do not possess the consistency of a regular gym habit or good eating habits. Second, they are metabolically at a disadvantage having spent many years either yo-yoing with their weight or simply staying overweight throughout the time period.
When this happens, your body reacts by lowering your insulin resistance and you have a tough time mobilizing body fat for fat burning. If you are more muscular on the other hand and in good shape, your insulin sensitivity is higher (lower insulin resistance) and you have a much easier time dropping weight when attempted.
That said, the Aamir Khan body transformation is not consistent with the more realistic transformation that needs to be made by the many that are overweight and have been for quite some time. That is not to take away from what he accomplished. It is an exercise in dedication for someone to do what he did in order to lose the amount of weight he did while not dropping his hard earned muscle.
Two things you can take away from this that are very important as well. The first is the value of having a plan. This weight loss was very well choreographed from the beginning. Every step of this weight gain and loss was done knowing the course for how it was to take place from the start until the last pound was lost.
The next thing was the level of accountability that was in place as well. In normal situations, you are not being held accountable for your weight gain or weight loss. Not the case here with Aamir. He had a major motion picture deal hinging on the fact that he had to lose the weight or the movie could not be written. In fact, because of this, he requested that the weight gain scenes be filmed first so he would have to lose the body fat in order to finish out the movie.

I have a 9 to 5 job and go to the gym 4 days a week. I try to do cardio onces or twice a week. I love ecercising. Been doing this religiously for 15 plus years. It ain't easy, but it sure as hell would be easier if I didn't have a fulltime job, and I received financial incentive!

I'm a student and was living on my own so my budget is tight.. dont get me wrong I can see muscle gains little by little but I know if I had the money to buy proper foods for proper nutrition my gains would be alot different.. So Yeah.. MONEY can be a big deal to gain muscle and loose fat FAST.. you can still do it without money but it will take you time and discipline.. this Aamir guy clearly had the MONEY and DISCIPLINE thats why he can do transformations in just months..

I'm sure he has help with a bit of steds maybe not for the size but for the mood. He is not a sports athlete where he will get tested that's not the case. I'm not saying he took drugs but who honestly knows. I know a gym where I go theres 2 types of drugs use 1 that makes u perform better and one that blows u up like Arnie. I'm a Muslim where I live theres Muslims at my gym it's funny because there was 1 big bulky looked really good but after RAMADAN everything completely went I mean I knew then he was on the gear

Actually all those who say money makes it much easier for this man. He did increased his weight for a movie, but not by money. He used to walk for long distances for like 1 and a half hour, cycling for one and a half hour. Diet plans, no gym for like 3 months or so. Some bodyweight exercises.

7 months ago I was at my heaviest and unhealthiest I've ever been. I am 6'1" was 270Ibs now nearly into the 8 month of progress I am 240Ibs. Just now has been first time I've weighed myself in about 10 weeks. Feel and look a lot better and also am stronger than o have been in some time. Won't tell you what my goal is but encouraging myself to make small steps everyday on road to where I need to be. Your videos are excellent Jeff and always take what you say on board. Really a very good quality

The most used version of JK is "just kidding" but I'm sure some people use it as "joke". Internetslang and Urban Dictionary have it listed as just kidding. I've lost around 13 kgs in 22 weeks and 18 kgs in 27 weeks, my trainer guided well and now he applaud my performance. Now I'm trying to losse 4-7 kgs more to reach 63 kgs, my height is 5'6", but I'm kinda struck at 72 kgs for last 3 weeks. Next week is my 23rd and now I've also started to increase the natural protein content for muscle gain. Any suggestions

I can understand his explanation. I'm a former badminton athlete, I've been used to practicing since I was little. When I got pregnant and gave birth my normally muscular legs became almost like ordinary people's legs. After a bit of starting to exercise, playing tennis my legs are back to muscle. It's like the muscles are just sleeping and just need to be awakened again.
the guy is a beast for making such a commitment. Always got respect for him.
